    Friday:

    Drugs are good.

Managed to do a few things: practice piano, go out to eat and push a shopping cart around.

    Saturday

I'm tempted to go try some easy peddling on the stationary bike... My wife isn't here to try and stop me either.

    Sunday (187)
    Conditioning
24 minutes on the bike, hr to 160.

Just took my blood pressure, haven't done that for a while. First reading was 150/87. Second was 133/89. Yikes! I'll have TP start watching that again. Hopefully it's not a trend.

The hard part was tying my shoes.

I tried going off drugs this morning, but I'm back on 1/2 dose and tapering off.

On an outdoorsy theme... I just measured the Buck knife #110 that I saved up for when I was 13 or so. The blade is 3 3/4 inches, which means anytime I've carried that in my pocket I've been commiting at least a misdemeanor (by 1/4 inch by current law). I still remember the ladies look at the hardware store when I bought it. She was all happy and friendly and just about the time she went to hand me my change she must have had second thoughts about selling such a young lad a knife like that because she turned white and gasped. I grabbed my change, said "Later", and walked out happy as could be.

    Wednesday (182.8)

I wonder how much I'll pay for my followup visit with the surgeon that literally lasted 2 minutes. About 30 seconds was all that was actually needed.

    Thursday (184)
45 minutes of intervals on the bike, I'll try a new notation.
    2 rounds 3/2/140, 2/2/150, 1.5/1.5/155, 1/2/160

Here's the key, work time in minutes/rest in minutes/ heart rate BPM achieved and maintained.
Warmup was the same as one of the rounds above with no real heart rate targets.

    Saturday (181.8) (150/87)
    Conditioning
35 minutes on the bike including a 15 minute warmup and 20 minutes maintaining hr between 135-145.

I just took my blood pressure for the first time in a while. The first reading was 150/87. Second time 133/89. Yikes! I'll have to watch that for a while. Hopefully that's not a trend. The last time I had it read was at the doctors office and it was 122/65. That was Nov 16. I was taking it regularly back in October and it I was getting very low readings. Maybe it's the not lifting and having surgery and meds and the job and the holidays?

    Company Christmas party tonight.

    Food
Breakfast: made Blakes frittata with 7 eggs, ate a little less than half, milk, coffee
    Lunch: carribean type chicken salad
Christmas party food: turkey, ham veggies, wine, a few crackers with cheese and a few bites of chocolate cake.
