So, the situation here is the gyms are closed. Yesterday I unburied the rack in my garage. I haven’t used it for a while and we have several households worth of junk here. I went easy today because I felt like it.

Struggling with motivation a bit. I was making good strides and had to shift to my home gym (in a cold garage), and with all of the other changes going on in the world we got a phone call that our nephew is in ICU with complications from end stage liver failure.
I had planned a full workout but I’m really giving myself some latitude. I have the home gym,I’ll make it work, I’ll get back to progress, but I’m giving it time.

Goofing around in the park
I did a bit of jogging, stretching and a set of 10 pull ups. I think the trip around the park is about 2/5’s of a mile. The one lap I did was around 3:50. So I have a bench mark to improve on.
Other than that we decided to beat the blues by going for a drive in the mountains (gas is cheap now for better or worse).
I didn’t see any clouds of Coronavirus floating around in Cripple Creek... though the place was shuttered like everywhere else.
On a somber note, our nephew Tyson passed yesterday at 34. It sounded like a hellish ordeal. His dad was with him at least.

That’s 23 seconds off my benchmark time. I’d feel pretty good if I could get that lap time down to 3 minutes flat.
Also, Stretching, warmups, etc.

The first lap was quite a bit slower than the second, it was over 4 minutes. I used what I saved on the second lap.
I’m grateful to live adjacent to a nice park.
It always feels like I’m running fast, slow as I know I am. At least I haven’t (yet) gotten so fascinated by my own feet (sooooo fast!) that I trip over them like a little kid. The sad part is I would have to do those two laps in 6:24 to even be hitting an 8 minute/mile pace.
