Tiburon's Texas Testicular Hypertrophy
Did my first week on the Texas Method. When I started the novice progression, I was basically detrained, weighing 172 lbs. Couldn't squat, press, or pull shit.
Now weigh 216 at 6'0", 34y. Squat is stalled at 305x5x3, DLift is 365x5, Press 142x5x3, Bench 209x5x3, Power Clean 188x3x5.
At this point, goal is still "to get stronger," and creep toward the 300/400/500 bench/squat/DL, ideally at a BW of 205-210.
Week 1:
Day1: Volume/Intensity
Squat: 285x5x5 (10% back-off, hadn't done this volume before)
Bench: 204x5x5
DLift: So gassed, couldn't even get 365 off the ground
Day2: Light
Squat: 225x5x1 (80%)
Press: 142x5x3 PR
PowerClean: 186x3x5
Chins: 9,8,8
Day3: Heavy
Squat: 314x1 PR, 320xF
Bench: 234x1 PR
DLift: 372x4, couldn't lock out last rep
Not a bad week. Hopefully I'll have more gas in the tank for next week's volume day. The heavy singles were fun after doing sets of 5 for so long on the novice progression -- never thought I'd bench 225.
Stay tuned.

Week 2 is in the books. The whole house is battling a virus, not sleeping enough, not eating enough.
Day1: Volume/Intensity
Squat: 295x5x4. Only managed 1 rep on the 5th set.
Press: 145x2x15. Should have been an easy-ish 5x5 but couldn't get more than 2 reps in a set.
The whole day basically sucked.
Day2: Light
Squat: 225x5x1
Bench: 185x5x1
Day3: Heavy
Squat: 324x1 PR
Press: 161x1 PR
DLift: 400x1 PR
Pumped to finally pull 400. Hopefully next week my squats will be back on track.

Well week 3 is done. Another shit week.
Day 1: Volume / Intensity
Squat: 300x5x3, could only get 4 reps of the 4th set and didn't try 5th
Bench: 209x5x5 PR
No gas for DL
I'm a complete dumbass for trying to add weight from last week.
Day 2: Light
Power Clean: 190x3, 190x2, 190x1. Complete mindfuck and shitshow
Press: 147x3, 147x2 WTF this should have been doable
Day 3: Not sure what this is anymore
Squat: 305x5x2
DL: 370x3
Chins
Have done a lot of thinking the last couple of weeks about my training. Been basically spinning my wheels since the novice progression ended a month ago. For a lot of reasons - schedule, training partners, motivation, summer sports, family crap, etc - I don't think TM is a good fit for me right now. Gonna mix things up, try six weeks of a WFAC-type conditioning program, see if I can build up my conditioning while keeping my strength and dropping a few pounds. Wish me luck.

First week on the In-Season program. Again, goals will be to build up my conditioning, drop a few pounds, play a lot of sports, and keep as much strength as possible.
Got in 3 conditioning workouts and 1 high-intensity / low-volume day.
Day 1 - For time, 30 reps of 135 clean&jerk. Grace. Or as Rip calls this workout, "Two Hands Anyway." Took me 8:45, a couple minutes over my PR. Not bad considering I haven't done any "cardio" in so long. A great example of how strength increases can improve the times in workouts like this. When I last did this, I had to jerk each rep. Now I can easily press 135, so the first dozen reps were gravy.
Day 2 - As many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of 5 chin, 10 push, 15 squats. Mini-Cindy. This freakin killed me, I could only get 8 rounds. Quite embarrassed at the performance.
Day 3 - Lift
Squat 305x5x1
Bench 224x2x2
DLift 364x2
Day 4 - For time, 5 rounds of: deadlift 220 lbs for 5 reps, then 10 burpees. Workout from 08 xfit games. Good workout, really gassed me, took about 10 minutes.
Fresh week ahead of me. . .
