Niiiiiiice. Your charts are so much prettier than mine. It must be because you're so much stronger.

    Monday May 14 - Intensity

    Bench, doubles 45x5x2, 95x5, 155x5, 205x3, 245x3, 275x3, 295x1x2, 315x2x3, b/o 225x10

I had the goofiest spotter situation tonight. The two guys who usually help me out were AWOL so I asked a young guy who I know a little bit (I used to work with his father) if he was comfortable doing a heavy spot. He answered, "if you're comfortable having me try." The kid's honest if maybe not too confident. I said, OK let's give it a shot and another guy came up who is the kid's pal. They said they would rather each take a side. Welll, the lift off was a bit uneven and somebody touched something along the way but it was alright in the end.

Wednesday May 16 - Volume (split)

    Squat 45x5x2, 95x5, 155x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x1, 345x1, 315x3x2, 295x5

I did a change up tonight and did squats as the first part of the split. I also mixed the work sets to include some heavier for me singles onacconta I never, ever do top end singles for squats. I was pleasantly surprised with the 345 and very happy with the triples afterwards. We'll see if presses suffer at all tomorrow.

    Nice squattin', nice benchin', Bob.

I HATE having a spotter on each end of the bar. I always tell everyone that spots me, all you have to do if I miss this is lift 5lbs. I'll get the rest. If you can lift 5lbs, you can spot me at just about any weight.

    Thanks, O.

Yeah, that's what I figured, too - if they were a little hesitant to spot alone then two of them could combine for the little nudge I would have needed to get through the sticking point (I didn't need it), it was the lift off that was weird. Besides, I had planned to do my first three wheel double in ages that night and I didn't want to put it off. It worked out fine.

Thanks, all. I need to put a bit of a push on the squats, even though I currently don't train them heavy my bench is catching up and that would just look wrong.

    Saturday May 19 - Recovery

    Squat 45x5x2, 95x5, 155x3, 225x3, 250x5x2
    Bench 45x5, 95x5, 135x3, 205x3, 230x5x2

It is a picture post card morning in South Dairyland and there are six yards of mulch in the driveway. So, a gardening we will go...

Grats on hitting those doubles on the bench!

I wouldn't worry too much about the ratios between the lifts. Depending on how you are built, you might naturally be a better bencher. The squats are the hardest lift for me too, but I think using knee wraps has helped me push it up faster.
