I was sick from Dec 11-December 13. I think it was the flu- chills, aches, fever, sore throat with very sudden onset. Stinks because I got a flu shot but I am feeling a little better today except I didn't sleep much last two nights because of illness. I am planning on doing volume day and light day, then skipping intensity day to resume volume day next week.
Dec 14 2011 Volume Day
Squats w/ 260 5,5,5,5,5 Ok- which is surprising because I don't feel 100% due to illness/lack of sleep. First three sets high bar, last two low bar. Switching back and forth between squat types on volume day seems to be working. Low bar is definitely easier but I feel quads are getting better workout w/ high bar.
Bench w/ 330 5,5,5,5,5 Easy- also a pleasant surprise.
Chins w/ 35 lbs 5,5,5 Ok except for a little kipping on last reps of sets 2 and 3. Will jump this up to 45 lbs next time. The weighted chins along w/ kroc rows have vastly improved my grip strength on deadlift.
