Thanks Walter. I felt like I had more in the tank on SQ and DL. Neither was 10/10 or a grinder.
Congrats on PRs on all 3 lifts!
Thanks Bryan!
Great work yesterday Dan the Man
Thanks David, same to you.
Stealing hamburger's idea of ideas/plans for next phase.
Top objective: next meet at 181, so losing a couple of pounds (not a lot: I weighed in at 194.5ish and that was just with carb and salt taper, not water)
Program: switching from TM to 5/3/1 with 3 days of conditioning a week. Assistance will change month to month. I just can't handle TM's demands with this job and try to work in more conditioning. Just need to be realistic and prioritize.
SQ: thinking of trying wraps as I mentioned here. Though my training log wasn't always pretty, I think I fixed a lot of weaknesses and imbalances between my first meet in May and this one. These squats were no-doubters and I didn't feel like I was in danger of falling forward or losing tightness. (May 420, Dec 452)
BP: Decent progress. Again, though the log didn't look pretty, I lost a few months to my labrum tear. Now that I've been MRI'ed and am pressing pain-free, I am excited to finally push past the 300 milestone and would like to aim for 315 at my next meet. Thinking some 2-board work or pin presses will be helpful but I also think I might benefit from a coaching session as I don't feel like my setup is as effective as it could be. (May 275, Dec 292)
DL: Very happy with progress here. I feel like taking some time to relearn the SS pulling model served me well. (May 485, Dec 518)
Thinking of doing my next week a little sooner, maybe late March or April. Definitely felt like I left pounds on the table on squat and deadlift.
Great meeting you this weekend!
If you ever feel up to it, come up to Conviction (Western & Montrose) to train with us. Open invitation, and no pressure to take us up on it. LOL
Just send me or David a PM.
