Default AAA goal: Achieving Above Average

Logging my attempt to get squat to 500lbs and bench to 400.

Deadlift is good if it keeps up with squat for me since I'm not built for it.

Running my version of texas method i'll call the irish split.

I mix volume and intensity of upper and lower so..

    Monday - bench 1x5 & ohp 2x5
    Squat 5x5

    Thursday - OHP 1x5
    Bench 5x5

Friday- Squat 1x5/2x3/3x2 (change as reach failure at any range)
Deadlift 2x3 (1 set sumo, 1 set conv.)

I just prefer having the overall stress of training more evenly spread throughout the week

    Current pr's

    Squat. 5 x 365lbs
    Bench. 5 x 280lbs
    Deadlift 5 x 405lbs

    Squat 2x3x365
Deadlift 2x3x365 wore adipowers; surprising helped sumo, the solid distribution of weight seemed to help muscle recruitment.

    Bench 295x1 failed 2nd rep
Bench 280x1; intended for 5 but tendons & ligaments felt smoked almost painful despite muscling it up fine so stopped

Squat 5x5x325lbs. First 3 sets easy but brother in law just started SS with me and it was 3pm and hot. Had to unload and reload bar everytime starting at 3rd set. Weight not a problem but was exhausting.

    Forgot about OHP somehow.

    Hey!
    Your numbers are really great.
Your benchpress numbers are almost double than mine.

I don't know what to say about popularity of strength training in Korea.
Many people do BB style, some people do Strength training.

I'm looking forward your progress, I like your log title.

Squat 370x3 PR then x2 for second set, unfocused, hot and hence decided better to not allow form breakdown.

DL 365x3x2 experimenting with form so not going heavy.

Bench 295x1 failed second rep but first was fast and second was right there. Gonna go back to 5's.

Squat 325x5x4 super hot outside, shitty Wal-Mart tshirt so thin had bar moving. Weird day all kinds of things going wrong. Just chalked it off as a bad day.

    OHP 160x5x2 easy

Pullups 3x5 wide 1x5 neutral with 25lbs easy

Gonna up weight on ohp and pullups.
