That's a shit-ton of work. Very hard to keep up even when life and work are going well. On the other hand, it is possible to adjust to a much higher volume over time. That's what advanced lifting is about. It'll be interesting to see what PPST3 has to offer (I ordered a copy, too).

Nice pull at 455, I'd bet you could triple that.

Thanks Dan, I would agree, it started coming up before I expected. In My current state of fatigue I am being conservative.

You can't will yourself through fatigue…
    Learning what it means

Friday 20 Dec, 2013 Last Barbell workout of the year
    Defranco agile 8..
    Squat Wu then
    265x1
    305x1
    342.5x1
    380x1
    397.5x1
    417.5 (3) x1 Failed on #2 Performance is dropping
265 2x5…Bah no need to really accumulate any more volume

Bench Wu and turned down my expectation..no records are to be set today.

    152.5x3
    175x2
    197.5x1
    217.5x1
230x1 percieved effort is way up
152.5 3x5 First and last set paused.

That is it. I have accumulated enough fatigue to show a drop in performance and increase in perceived effort. I feel my Testosterone is a bit suppressed and my motivation is in the toilet..I hate myself for trying this... This is a rough, unpleasant type of cycle, I hope I get something out of it..
I will allow myself to drop volume and frequency while increasing intensity next phase. I think 9 days at Jamaican resorts should help restore me.

I will have gym access on my vacation but no barbells . I will do dumbbell, machines and bodyweight( I will bro out) to stay active(onto of beach volleyball, snorkeling and waterspouts) and try to eat at all 15 restaurants.

Last week I hit 380x5 and 417.5x2 Today I singled through 380 and was going to try 417.5x3 Here is what happened. ( I got a little deep on rep 2

The vacation will do you good, Bryan. You'll come back rested, recovered and rebuilt. There will be PRs!

Vacations are good for stuffing food into your mouth. I agree with Oldman. You can come back ready for PRs. Just make sure you get some sleep.

I hope this post finds you relaxing, drinking a copious amount of spiced rum, and having some fun.
