You're strong, BD. I think I'd miss more than one workout while waiting to hear the pathology result.

I've gone through this once before and we caught things in time, but I got cut up pretty good - put a halt to my training for about three months. All things considered, I should just shut up and thank my lucky stars I'm still here.

    6/24/17

    GFB #2-13 (reps/sets)

    Deadlift - 187.5kg x5, 165kg 5x4

    Deficit Deads - 155kg 5x3

    Good Mornings - 50kg 12x3
    Straight Bar Curls - 45kg 10x4
    Reverse Flys - 20lbs 12x4
    Neutral Grip Pull Downs - 45kg 12x4
    Rows - 70kg 12x4

End of this cycle, and it almost ended before it began. Worked up to 187.5kg, my mind was elsewhere, and I couldn't break the damn bar from the ground. I thought about calling it a day right there, but my coach said try to pull it with a belt on. I thought about it - said no, I'll give it another go beltless. Cleared my mind and bingo bango bongo the set got done - a very big PR! BELTLESS NO LESS!

The rest of the work was hard, long and exhausting - as always.

De-Load next week and then onto the third cycle.

That's advice I should take to heart too. Anyway, here's hoping there's no more cutting in your future.

Nice to give the old bones a break now and then.

As time goes on, I appreciate the lightened load. Though that first week back to work is "interesting"

    FWIW

Results of the biopsy are in and I'm relatively in the clear - watchful waiting being the order of the day.

    Another day ending in "y".

At least no interruption to the training program.

Fantastic news! I guess these sorts of experiences help put things in perspective...
