    9/9/17

    DeLoad (reps/sets)

    Squat - 140kg x2
    Paused Bench - 90kg x2
    Deadlift - 185kg x2

    Dips - bw 10x3
    Goblet Squats - 28kg 10x3

One top set of each, just to remind myself what's coming over the next four weeks. This morning work is harder for me than afternoon sessions. I'm glad I made an early transition to morning sessions. Had I waited untill the last week or so, I wouldn't be acclimated to heavy, morning lifting come the meet.

    Thanks.

    I misstated my classification earlier. I'm a "Raw Master 3" in the 93's - not a "Master 3".

You know you're deadlift is getting up there when 185 kg is a deload!

    GFB #5-1 (reps/sets)

    Squat - 155kg x2, 140kg 2x5
    Paused Hi Bar -120kg 3x3

    Belt Squat - 82.5kg 8x3
    Back Ext - bw 10x3
    Wide Grip Pull Downs - 50kg 8x3
    Rev Flys - 15kg 10x3

We're into the Peaking cycle. Today went reasonably well, might have been a tad high on the first rep of the top set.

    GFB #5-2 (reps/sets)

    Bench (paused) - 90kg x1, 80kg 2x6
    Close Grip Bench - 75kg 3x3

    Incline Dumbbell Bench - 40lbs 8x4
    Dumbbell Press - 40lbs 8x2, 35lbs 8x2
    Dips - bw 12x4
Triceps Pulldowns - green band 15x4

Good single, done with commands. Things are a little bit different when commands are involved. Unlike the last meet, where 90kg was a titanic struggle, this went up without a hitch. The $64 question is where's the top - 95 / 97.5 / 100kg...

I'm betting it's at the higher end of those numbers, probably beyond!

    GFB #5-3 (reps/sets)

    Deadlift - 210kg x1, 177.5kg 2x4
    Block Pulls - 190kg 4x4

Wide Grip Pull Downs / Pull Ups - 50kg/bw 8x3
    RDLs - 120kg 8x3
    Dumbbell Hi Pulls - 35lbs 8x3

Pulled the 210, but had an aborted 1st attempt at it...just re-set and pulled the damn thing. Lots of work today. I'm pooped.
Also, I realized at the end of the session that today (and this week) represents the first time I've totaled over 1,000lbs for my top set work EVER!

That makes me very happy indeed.
