Can't use the long arm excuse any more after reading of Oldster's 37 inch arm length. How he does what he does is a source of amazement to me.

    FMP - 3-8 (reps/sets)

    Squat - 265lbs 5x4
    Bench - 175lbs 5x4
    Tempo Bench - 150lbs 5x4
    Deadlift - 375lbs 3x3

    Tri Pulldowns - 40lbs 15x3

Basic Saturday work. Everthing moved nicely and on shorter rest than usual.

Lot of volume for a basic Saturday! Is this your version of taking it easy? :-)

Saturday is never an easy day. Next cycle we're going to go to accessory work for Saturdays.

    FMP #3-9 (reps/sets)

    Squat - 135kg x4, 121.5kg 4x4
    Tempo Squats - 101.5kg 5x4
    Belt Squats - 80kg 8x6
    Split Squats - 24kg 8x4

Best day of Squats in a long time, probably had 2 more reps without too much of a grind.

This is the last week of this cycle. Next week is a de-load. And then we're into getting meet ready.

    FMP #3-10 (reps/sets)

    Bench - 87.5kg x4, 82.5kg 4x2, 80kg x4,x5
    Spoto Bench - 72.5kg 5x4
    Tempo Bench - 67.5kg 4x4

    Press - 40/45/50/50/45/40kg x5
    Dips - bw 10x3
    Tri Pulldowns - 15kg 10x3
    LTE / Curl - 30kg 10x3

Finally got the top set...yay me!

Paid attention to my grip and "sacked up" as well. The Spoto and Tempo Bench work is helping me stay tighter through the descent.

    FMP #3-11 (reps/sets)

    Deadlift - 195kg x3, 175kg 3x3
    Low Block Pull - 145kg 6x4

    Mid Rows - 50kg 10x4
    Revs Fly - 25lbs 10x4
    Face Pulls 40kg 10x4

Ended this cycle on a high note, 195kg was easy and good for a fourth without a real grind.

Not bad for a guy who turns 63 today!

Happy B-day, BD! Cool way to mark the day with a 430-pound deadlift, for reps no less!

    FMP 3-12 (reps/sets)

    Squat - 275lbs 4x4
    Bench - 180lbs 4x4
    Spoto Bench - 155lbs 4x4
    Deadlift - 385lbs 3x3

    Dips / Curls - 80% bw / 45lbs 15/30x3
    Wide Grip Pulldowns - 190 10x3

The end of the cycle, regular Saturday work. Pulled a nice single at 365lbs double overhand, that's an oddball PR.
