    Cycle Six Week Two reps/sets

    LB Squat - 122.5kg 4*5
    Bench - 82.5kg 5*6
    RDL - 120kg 8*4
    Belt Squat - 80 / 90 / 90 / 95 / 95kg *12

Saturday's are such a load of work...I really tried to keep my rest periods short, but the Bench wouldn't accommodate me. I started at 5 minutes and had to go to 9 minutes rest by the last set.

I've still got some upper body work to do, that will have to be tomorrow...again.

    Cycle Six Week Three reps/sets

    LB Squat - 145kg *4, 130kg 4*3
    HB Tempo Squat - 107.5kg 5*5
    Belt Squat - 90kg 10*4
    BSS - 24kg 10*3
    Back Ext - 28kg 10*3

As it's a holiday, this ended up a morning session. Do you have any idea how much I hate morning sessions?
    I am f'n spent!

Top set was a tad high on the first two reps. That low back niggle popped up right as I unracked. Got in my head and caused me to cut depth until I knew it wsn't an issue. No problem with the weight, which is nice to report.

Next week coach thinks 152.5kg is doable. Saddle up Chuck!

I agree with you on morning sessions. Do you know yet what time your flight will be scheduled to lift at nationals?

I thought I was the only person who ever got low back niggles JUST as I am unracked.

Just like last year, in the A.M. To make sure all the body parts worked, I got up at 4:30. So I'll start early morning sessions two weeks out.

Yeah, I've got this goofy thing going on where something around the SI joint just "catches" at odd moments. Just enough of a bother to be a distraction. No other issues, just an unneeded distraction.

    Cycle Six Week Three reps/sets

    Bench - 90kg *4, 85kg *5,*5,*5,*4
    Wide Grip Bench - 77.5kg 6*4
    2 Board Bench - 75kg *8,*9,*9

    LTE - 40kg 5*3
    Kroc Rows - 80lbs 10*3
    Tricep Pull Downs - 40kg 10*3

Missed the top set by one, but it's better than last week's three reps. I'm pleased with the back off sets at 85kg. I've never done that weight for that many sets...ever.

Once this heat and humidity departs, I'm hopeful of better training sessions.

    Cycle Six Week Three reps/sets

    Deadlift - 192.5kg *4, 172.5kg 4*3
    Block Pulls - 195kg 5*3

    Hammer Curls - 50lbs 10*3
    Wide Grip Pulldowns - 50kg 10*3
    Kroc Rows - 80lbs 10*3

What a big day! Absolutely crushed the top set, and had more in the tank. Backoff work went smoothly, and the Block Pulls were not as killer as I thought they'd be.

So I survived the heat and humidity. The weather that's to follow should let me get some sleep...finally. Last week of the cycle next week.
Looking at Squats @ 152.5 for 4; Bench @ 92.5 for 5 (though I'll be happy with anything over three); Deadlift @ 195 for 4.

The Squats and Bench are just off my best competition single, and I'm back on my game with the Deadlifts. I'm ready to begin "peaking".

    Cycle Six Week Three reps/sets

    LB Squat - 130kg 4*4
    Bench - 80 / 82.5 / 85 / 85 / 82.5 / 80kg *5
    RDL - 135kg 10*4
    Belt Squat - 90kg 10*4

A long, hard Saturday session. Had to drop a Squat Set, and pyramid the Bench. Thursday's Deadlift session just tuckered me out.
With a lot more sleep and food, I'll be fine for next week.

That does indeed look like a hard workout. My workout today consisted of clearing weeds from our front yard, driveway, and sidewalk for two hours this morning. I'm still feeling it now at 5pm.

I've told the bride that I'm not available for yard duty until I come home from Spokane. And yes, I got some serious side eye over that proclamation.

Never encountered a homeowners association (HOA) when I lived in upstate NY. They are in full force now that we transplanted down south. It's a tricky balance to consider recovery, neighbors prying eyes, and my bride's visual sensibilities when I time my yard duty down here.
