There was some confusion between Austin and my cancer docs as to who was to do the interpretation of the results.

I reached out to Austin this morning asking him to do his thing, so I should hearing from him this weekend.

So, file this one under #IshouldhavestayedataHolidayInnExpresslastnight

The results of the blood panels showed nothing out of the ordinary, especially given my situation.

On one hand, that's wonderful news, nothing else going on that I should be concerned with.

On the other hand, it means I'm simply old, under a lot of stress, and the cancer thang took more out of me than I thought.

Sucks to be in this condition, but it beats the alternative I suppose.

    6/15/20

    The Road Back reps/sets

    LB Squat - 70kg 8*3
    Tempo LB Squat Paused - 50kg 8*3
Banded Squats - Orange Band 20*3
    Glute Ham Roller - 20*3
    Wide Grip Pulldowns - 60lbs 10*3

    Walked 3 1/2 miles...

Gonna be sore as fvck in 48 hours.

Kitten strength programming, and you best believe I'm gonna RPE the shit out of the weight on the bar.

    The Road Back - reps/sets

    Bench - 60kg 8*3
    Wide Grip Spoto - 50kg 7*3
    Close Grip - 45kg 7*3
    Dumbbell Bench - 40lbs 12*3
    Dumbbell Press - 30lbs 10*3

    3-4 minute rest periods

Just damn, everything hurts. DOMS in the legs is to be expected from Monday, but my shoulders are cranky (low bar blues) and my wrists are wonky.

The weight on the bar is embarrassing, but it is what it is...

    The Road Back - reps/sets

    Deads - 115kg 8*2
    Block Pulls - 130kg 7*2
    1 Arm Cable Mid Rows - #8 10*3
    Back Exten - 16kg 10*3
    Planks - 60 seconds *3

And my hands are raw meat...

I knew this would happen. Way back in Late March, I knew my hands were getting soft. Thankfully this cycles programming isn't as "robust" as normal (due to time constrained training in the gym). So my hands should round into shape...eventually.

    Very humbling day though, I.Am.Weak.

    The Road Back - reps/sets

    Paused SSB - 55kg 8*3
    Larsen Bench - 52.5kg 8*3
    Hip Thrusts - 70kg 10*4
    Dead Bugs - 30 sec *4
    Hammer Curls - 45lbs 10*3

Easy day, body is feeling a bit better. Still getting winded easily, but I feel "better".

I'm being reminded by those in "the know" that I'm not gonna be at optimal fitness for at least a year #planfortheoworsthopeforthebest

    The Road Back - reps/sets

    Week Two

    Squat - 75kg 8*3
Tempo Squats to Lo Box Paused 55kg 8*3
Banded Squats - Orange Band 20*3
    Glute Ham Roller - 20*3
    Wide Grip Pulldowns - 70lbs 10*3
    Hammer Curls - 50lbs 8*3

A better session today. I felt like I was capable of the work required. Threw in the Lo Box to make sure I was hitting depth. I like that I was able to control my position and pause so well. We'll make these light weights pay off.

An added bonus to today was the fact that my barbershop re-opened. 6 months is too long for me to go without a haircut.

    Dumbbell Bench - 45lbs 15*3
    Dumbbell Press - 30lbs 12*3

Used the old man bar, much friendlier knurl. My hands appreciated the thought. Incrementally better than last week, but it still feels "hard".

Please tell me more about this "old man bar". Asking for a friend.
