Anyway, I watched the livestream. Couldn't tell what some of the holdups were about (even the commentators were lost at times) or why some of the depth calls were what they were.

I get your disappointment, all the hard work you put in, and the last DL - I totally understand that feeling, I've LIVED that. But hey, despite everything, you did it. You totaled. You fucking totaled anyway. Under the circumstances I thought you acquitted yourself very well. Your resilience, you just bounce back and keep going, keep growing. That's awesome!
    Deb,
    Thanks for that!

Your experience...oye, that's so unfortunate. One of the things I love about my coach is that he looks out for all competitors, whether they're his athlete or not. As we began our warm-ups, he noticed a couple of other Masters athletes who had no one to look out for them, and he brought them over to our platform. He made sure they went through a proper progression for their warm ups, and that they had a plan of attack for their 2nd and 3rd attempts. I'm sorry that you didn't have that kind of experience.

What's more, this GP was pretty well versed in sports medicine. He had photos of athletes in many sports on his walls from high school up to the professionals. But I was the only old fart he had up there deadlifting.
I am in contact with an "exercise oncologist". I heard this gentleman speak on a podcast that I listened to a couple of weeks back. Hopefully he'll respond to my queries, because his expertise is spot on for what we're trying to accomplish.

No, no - WL-ing is very friendly like that. Coaches from LBH-NY would have helped me, but I got too sick to go; on top of all the personal stress my coach felt he'd put in all this work, hoped I didn't chicken out - so to make it up he made me compete the next month; worst meet of my life, like lifting in slow motion quicksand. Snatched 100#, took my C&J OPENER 3x (they kept saying I didn't stick it). Totaled a disappointing 45/57. Next year trained and peaked myself at home ALONE, won gold at York, w/a little platform help from Regis Becker (47 sn/60 pcln&j - which is a weakling, LOL!) Life's ups and downs, it is what it is. Gotta have faith in purpose.

Volume Block week One - reps/sets

    Big Wheel Pulls @7 - 143kg 8*3
    Belt Squat - 50kg 15*3
    RDL - 100kg 12*3
    Dumbbell Bench Tempe 2 Tempo - 45lbs 15*3

I got a little cocky and went for a two mile walk prior to training. Big Mistake!

For as humane as the first two days were, today was hard hard hard. Especially the successories...

Might have come in a little light on the Pulls.

That sure seems like a hard WO. I bet you must build up a big appetite after all that work .

    Yes and no...

Of course, for me, it really doesn't matter. I can only eat so much at one sitting...hungry or not.

The biggest thing to pay attention to in a session like that is hydration.
