    Cycle 4 #kickcancerinthedick reps/sets

    LB Pin Squat - 100kg 5*5
Tempo LB - 80kg 3*10...90 seconds rest between sets
    Tempo Goblets - 15kg 8*4
    Belt Squats - 40kg 12*3
    IYT - 10lbs 12*3

Gonna have low bar shoulders in 48 hours.

Never done pin squats before, they're fun.

Oh, radiation has started to wreak havoc on my intestinal tract...FML. Fortunately Imodium seems to work right now...

    Radiation day 12 of 28...

    Close Grip - 60kg 5*5
    Wide Grip - 70kg 5*5
    Paused LB - 80kg 5*5
    Pull Ups - bw 10*3
    Standing IYT - 10lbs 12*3

I had to go to the Imodium prior to the session, my intestines are not happy. Add to that, I have low level nausea.

But it was a good session in spite of the bubble gut.

Radiation day 14 of WHO THE FUCK KNOWS HOW MANY!!!

Beltless, Paused, Deficit Deads, with slow eccentric 120kg 4*5
    Hip Thrusts - 70kg 10*4
    Spoto Larsen - 75kg 5*5
    Press - 50kg 3*3

A good session, even with getting hit with the trots after the first set of Deads.

So I received a kick in the balls Friday. I thought my treatment regimen called for a 28 day course of radiation. It turns out that, no no no, it's 45 FUCKING DAYS. I was too taken aback to ask what the fuck is going on while I was there, but I'll be a bit more on my game come Monday.

Hopefully it's just a miscommunication and not something more "serious"...fingers crossed.

That must feel exponentially worse than having to do more reps and sets than you planned on.

    Exactly.

I had mentally prepared myself to go 28 days.

To have to go through 30+ more sessions is gonna require some serious mental gymnastics.

Not to sound melodramatic, but it takes everything I've got to get on the table every day...to get on that table and not run out of the room halfway through each session.

Knowing that I'm gonna have more profound intestinal issues, and the urinary issues haven't kicked in yet...seriously, I'm gonna need to be a fucking magician to talk myself through this.

Fortunately I've learned some self discipline from being under the bar all these years...I'll find a way to "do one more rep".

Sorry to hear about this, Chas. I know you can handle it. 17 more days on the table than you had planned for. Maybe we can have a long-distance skype toast when you're done! In the meantime maybe you can accidentally step on your doctor's foot during your next appointment. Do you have any old cleats that you can wear?

    I'm really tired...

Day 19 of Radiation, weight is slowly dropping, having the shit's daily will do that to you. The reason that my treatment regimen is 45 days is that they're treating the lymph nodes as well as the prostate. Though there wasn't any lymph node involvement detected with the scans taken, they want to be conservative and hit any potential "problems". Who am I to disagree?!?

Paused Deficit Deads, slow eccentric - 130kg 4*5
    Hip Thrusts - 90kg 10*4
    Press - 52.5kg 3*3
    Spoto Larsen Bench - 72.5kg 5*5

So, it being that we're in NYS, we're closed for business as of 8:00pm tonight. SMDH...we're a small, private gym. At best we can handle 20 athletes at one time...AT BEST.
A majority of our athletes are in heathcare: nurses, DO's, Dr's...we're all adults and we know how to adhere to proper procedures. Yet the list of those closed and the those who are open to conduct business MAKES NO SENSE.

The authorities are handling this as if the Black Death is about to overwhelm us. It's a fucking cold virus, that while new and it attacks a particular demographic, it's still a COLD VIRUS.

God knows, I'm in an "at risk" demographic, but I'm not running around with my hair on fire, worried that the people around me are disease vectors. I limit where I go, I limit who I'm around...and the people who frequent the places I go are ADULTS who practice the same habits. We're giving up some basic rights without giving a thought to why and for what reasons.

    #end rant

Hopefully I can find a friend with a home gym in the meantime.

    Peace
