So sorry to read that, BD. Please take solace in the memories of her long life.

    11/19/22

    Mayhem Prep m1/w4 reps/sets

    Squat -
    Top set of 5 at 125kg; down sets at 107.5kg 5*3; Belt Squats at 150lbs 10*4; 3 Count Larsen at 66kg 7*3
Last weeks Squats were high, these not so much. Felt strong for week 4...

    Bench -
Top set of 5 at 85kg; down sets 75/77.5/80kg for 5; Spoto sets at 75/72.5/70kg *6. Lot's of Dumbbell work, along with Bi's and Tri's.
Really strong set of 5 at 85kg. Wouldn't have guessed that was possible when we started the cycle. All this done on a Tuesday, as opposed to the normal Wednesday...maybe I should change the rotation???

    Deadlift -
Top set of 5 at 180kg; down sets at 150kg 5*2; Close Grip Larsen sets at 75/72.5/70kg *7.
Played some Doubles Squash on Wednesday night...and tried to pull on Thursday...not a winning combination. Got the set in...ugly as it was, and narrowly escaped with just a minor back tweak. Let that be a lesson... you're not 16 anymore. No more Squash until the meet is in the books...dummy.

    SBD Saturday -
Tempo Down SSB singles at 115kg *7, with a minutes rest; Bench singles at 87.5kg *7, with a minutes rest; Big Wheel Pulls at 173kg 2*3. A lot of lower back work to get some blood into the area.
Yeah, felt like shit today...the lower back was very cranky, making walkouts a real chore, and the knees were cranky from the Squash. Worked up to a challenging, but doable weight on the SSB...I was given spotters to finish the last four singles. Bench moved nicely, no more need be said. Pulls were a chore at 173kg, I was hyper aware of how my back was reacting to the stress. Still, all said and done, it was the end of week 4, and I'm in a good spot to move forward...if I'm smart, and don't do anything stupid again.

Winter is upon us: I've got a couple of feet of heavy, wet snow in my area. Could be a lot worse, five miles south of me is buried under 6-7 feet of the same heavy, wet shit...

    Carry On!

    11//26/22

    Mayhem Prep - m2 / w1 reps / sets

    Squat -
Low bar 2 top sets of three at 115kg; Down sets at 100kg 3*3; Tempo Down Split Squat 15kg 8*3; 5 Count Larsen 62.5kg 4*4
Nice start to this second cycle.

    Bench -
Two top sets of 3 at 80kg; Down sets at 68kg 3*3; Larsen sets at 70kg 8*2. Some cable flys and presses; lots of Bi's and Tri's
Another good session on the Bench. Working on moving the bar explosively...it does make a difference.

    Deadlift -
Two top sets of 3 at 165kg; Down sets at 140kg 3*3; Paused Deadlifts at 120kg 8*3; Close Grip Bench at 67.5kg 8*2
Easy start to the Deads this cycle. The Paused work surprised me...sets of 8...my goodness.

    SBD Saturday -
Paused SSB at 110kg, 6 sets of two with 90 seconds rest between sets; Competition Bench at 85kg for 6 sets of two with 90 seconds rest; Big Wheel Pulls, two singles at 193kg. Lot's of chest and back successories, as well as planks and leg work.
Pretty heavy load for an SBD Saturday. I'm happy to say I handled it easily. It's so nice to feel "normal".

Not too much else to say, I feel good, and I'm confident that I can handle the work to come.
