I've had both. Five guys is better.
I think they're both good, but they fulfill different needs in my burger loving heart. I am a big fan of Umami Burger, but surprisingly only "meh" on the infamous Father's Office burger (not a fan of arugula). Shake Shack is pretty good. [emoji488][emoji489]❤️

I've had the Father's Office burger, maybe 8 years ago. Good but not that memorable. Shake Shack is pretty amazing.

Seriously though, I have never eaten at Five Guys because they came in to southern CA and set up locations next to In-N-Out as direct competition. Out of (irrational) blind loyalty I won't eat there. It might be better.

Anyway, sorry for the OT posts in your excellent log, Ian.

No prob! For the record, I've never had in & out and think 5 guys is only OK. Is this blasphemy?

Not blasphemous. I would say you have to try it, but you could say the same to me regarding Five Guys.

Settled. I'll give it a try the next time I'm out there!

It's hot out. Deadlifts in the garage are just what the doctor ordered!

    Deadlifts: 245x5, 335x3, 425x1, (475x3)x8

    Dips: BWx10, (BW+25)x5, (BW+60)x5x5

    Time: 78 min
    BW: NM

Woof. This was a tough session due to the heat, but I did what I had planned to do today. I also felt the little pieces of rubber flooring I've been using had a little too much rebound in them. I changed them out for a single layer of cardboard. I had to be a little more careful with putting the weights down - I don't want to damage the floor!

    Stay strong folks.

    E

Ha! I'd definitely get another bar and another set of hundies!

Yes, I alternated dips w/ deadlifts for the first few sets. I'm still using and old dog leash to hold the weights, a real pain in the ass to tie. I don't think they affect each other too much. they are nice to squeeze in between sets. Pullups & squats work well too.
