Run: 2.24 miles in 24:56
I had to do a bit of walking, but I made sure to limit it to 50 paces. Overall, it is still an improvement, even if it is slight.

Globo gyms are awful.
Squat (high bar?): 135x5, 245x5, 335x3, 385x3, 425x1, 475x1, 385x10; PRs - 1RM, 10RM for HBBS
Rows: 135x10, 185x10, 235x10
Roman chair situps: BW x 30
Time: 72 minutes (wasted time waiting for a rack, and also chit-chatting with another powerlifter)
BW: 262.5lb
I had to use a globo gym today, but it is squat day, so I made the best of it. They had hundred pounders relatively near the squat rack, so of course they had to be used. I used the "new" squat form I worked on last week (index fingers on / just outside of rings, HBBS position). The 385x10 was fun.
There was a guy deadlifting (after his squats - low bar & deep). He used a mixed mixed grip, albeit without his thumbs around the bar. He lifted 405 that way, which was pretty impressive. I offered him chalk (apparently it was prohibited at that gym - those assholes!), and another guy came over to talk lifting. The mixed suicide grip guy claimed he didn't like gripping the bar with thumbs around - it felt better with the thumbs on one side. Carry on, brosephus maximus!
No pressing today, as my shoulder is less than ideal. Maybe I will do some pressing on Friday. Fiddleedee.
Stay strong, people of the internet.
Lots of PRs recently. Congrats!

Today was rough. To start, I'm on travel for work, and I don't sleep really well in hotels. Second, my room is on the second floor, and I heard a bunch of jackoffs yelling about the World Series Game, which woke me up several times (those bastards!). And then there was the actual work day. I was moving equipment and gear, and according to the "health" feature on my iPhone, I climbed 63 floors of stairs, did 12,432 steps, and 4.7 miles. I was (am) exhausted.
But then I walked into the gym. I'm sure I was quite the sight. I bought some new knee socks (bright yellow, so I wouldn't lose them), and was wearing a bright orange T-shirt with the sleeves cut off, ridiculous looking Vivobarefoot shoes, and a green towel on my head. This was the sort of gym that is incredibly adept at handing out towels (yet prohibiting chalk, having bars with no knurling, not turning A/C up enough, etc.). They are bright green, and I tied it around my head, in a Lawrence of Arabia fashion (to keep the sweat out of my eyes). I outweigh most of the patrons by 40-80lbs, and have a large, bright red beard. I think I could best be described as "large, angry garden gnome who fell into a pile of weird clothing". Phew.
I decided I was going to have a great session anyway, and I did. Snatch grips went pretty well. The 525x2 was very difficult, but all the more enjoyable, given the difficulty of the day. This particular establishment has three sets of hundred pound plates, so I made sure to use them (in addition to the dodecagonal plates with handles). Shrugs with two big boy plates per side were particularly enjoyable.
I had to deadlift in the vicinity of a certain chucklehead who was wearing headphones and "singing" along. Hey, I like amateur atonal, arhythmic chants like the next guy, so I channeled my enthusiasm for his musical stylings into the deadlift. I was very confused whether this chucklehead was actually a musical imbecile or the "music" was just THAT awful.
I'll be positive and assume he was singing "on pitch" and "within the rhythm of the song".
I topped all of this off with some steak fajitas at a Mexican restaurant, with a margarita, and fried ice cream for dessert. To hell with My Fatness Pal for today.
Stay strong, and use hundred pound plates as often as you can.

(Messed up quote feature here, quoting Gilchrest).
I don't particularly like being away from my wife and little guys, but if I have to, I might as well not let strength slip away. Conditions might not be ideal, but some decent work can still be done.
That's insane. Especially since you did that in a strange gym.SGDLs: 245x5, 335x3, 425x1, 475x3, 525x2, 425x5; PRs - 3RM, 2RM
Have you dropped off the face of the earth? (With respect to training)
