Nice timed squats Ian! I could not agree more about timing the sets. Just started a volume block and I'm trying cut my rest down to 2-3 minutes.

Thanks, David! If I don't time them, I waste WAY too much time (mostly reading) between sets.

Another training session at lunch today.

    Press: 95x5, 135x3, 155x2, (185x2)x7, 185x1; 2:30 rest between sets
    Bench Press: 225x10
    Snatch grip high pull: bar x 5, 95x3, (145x3)x8; 1-1:30 rest
    BW: 256.5lb
Time: 70 min (only due to chatting with folks between sets)

While I was warming up on the press (after the first set at 95lb), the bros decided to have a test for reps at 225. I got 10 reps. This probably explains why I missed my last rep at 185.

I committed a mortal sin today. I curled in the squat rack. gasp!

    Curl: 45x5, 75x3, 95x1, 115x1, 125x3x3, (125x2)x5. 105x5,5,5
    Front Squat: 135x5, 185x3, 225x1, 245x3, 255x3, 265x3, 275x3, 285x3, 295x2; ~2.5 minutes rest between sets.
    Time: 69 min
    BW: 259.5lb

I need to stop screwing around with light weights on front squats. They are hard, and not as much fun as back squats, both of which are not valid excuses.

    And now for the benediction:

Today is a great day to be alive. Go ye forth and lift something heavy. Wait a minute or two and lift it again.

Here, I've edited this for you..."Go ye forth and lift something heavy. Wait five minutes or more and front squat even more."

JK... Nice front squatting. I've been itching to see where I'm at on them. I think the SSB work I've done should help with FS.

Thanks! I'm a little ashamed to have a squat with a "2" in front of it! I've been reading your progress lately. Awesome work!

295 for a double should cause no shame. None whatsoever.

I had a decent session yesterday after work. I did deadlifts, something I haven't done since the 4th of February.

    KB Swings: 24kg x 10
    Deadlift: 225x5, 315x3, 365x1, 405x1, 455x1, 495x1, 545xF, 515x1, 535xF, 495x1, 505x1,1
    Time: < 60 minutes
    BW: 259

Well, at least I can still pull over 500. I attempted the 545 - it just wasn't happening. I know why - I lost focus after I started the rep. Next time.

I had a decent training session at lunch today. Yes, the day after heavy deads is optimally a rest day, but I was itching to press.

    Push press: 95x5, 135x3, 185x3, 205x2, (225x2)x4, (225x1)x4 - 2 minutes rest between sets
    DB Press, standing, two-handed: 60x3, 70x3, 80x1,1,2,2
    Time: ~50 min

I wanted to do a lot more push presses, but I am still very aware of yesterday's deadlifting session. At least something got done.

When I left my home this morning, I would have sworn I had some shorts in my gym bag. I didn't. As a result, I lifted in my khakis and a T-shirt (and weightlifting shoes & a belt). They are super-rugged khakis though, perfect for emergency weightlifting. The alternative (not lifting at all) was not acceptable. Somewhere, a bro is writing on a message board about some chucklehead at his gym who was "doing shoulders" in khakis.
