Super tired, but I got my squats done.

    Squat: 135x5, 225x3, 315x1, 365x1, 405x1, 435x3, 370x6,6,6

    Time: 60 minutes
BW: 258.0lb (not as strict with diet this week due to being so tired)

There was WAY too much time between sets today. Time to rest up. I'm going to hit 510x3 on the deadlift on Monday.

Default Deadlifts are a fun lift.

Monday, May 26th, 2014 (Memorial Day)

Today is an excellent day to be alive. While the little guys were feeding & napping this morning, I was able to get out in the garage & crank out some lifts. So much better than lifting in any other gym. Where else can I have Medeski Martin & Wood or Frank Zappa blasting away?

    Warmup: 24kg KB swings x 20,20
    Deadlift: 245x5, 335x3, 425x1, 475x1, 510x3, 435x10; PRs - 3RM & 10RM
Pullups: 2 sets at each grip width (extra wide, wide, normal, close).

    Videos here:
    510x3:

435x10 (please ignore the hitch on rep #9):

I hope everyone is having an awesome day & remembering why we all have off today.

Nice deads! Can't help but think you had more in you than the triple at 510.

Given that you just hit 555 and I just hit 550 it only seems right that we race each other to 600. Winner gets to have a 600 DL.

Thanks, David! I thought I had more also, but decided to stick with the planned triple. I think taping the lift adds quite a bit of strength, the same way have a good gym atmosphere does.

You're on for the race. 600 is right around the corner for both of us.

Press: warmup, 185x1, (200x1)x9, 200xF (rest 2 minutes between sets)
KB Press: 32kg, single arm: 7,5,5,5
    24kg each arm: 10,10,10
    Time: 60 minutes
    BW: 258.5

It wasn't raining when I went to the gym, so naturally, I left my umbrella at my desk. When I returned, it is now pouring, and the walk from the parking lot means I'm soaked. At least my umbrella is completely dry.

    Friday, May 30th, 2014.

I went to the gym expecting to have a terrible session, but it ended up being decent. Another guy worked in for squats, and that definitely helped with motivation.

    Squat: Warmup, (435x1)x5, (440x1)x5; belted & wrapped.

    Time: Not even worth mentioning.
    BW: 259.0 lb

Our little guys caught something this past weekend, so sleep has been extremely limited over the past few nights. Last night, I wore one in a baby carrier & slept upright in my wife's nursing chair so my wife could sleep. Little man slept fine. I slept like I was in a chair. Why don't I let them "cry it out", you ask? Excellent question. We have both of them in the same room. If one of them cries loudly enough, it wakes the other one up. Two crying babies is much more trouble than one crying baby. But then again, they are doing well (one is 19.5lb & the other is 18lb), eating solid foods, and are genuinely happy little guys.

    Stay strong my friends.

    Monday, June 2, 2014.

Today was a day of weak-sauce. I knew from the first lift it was not going to be the best session.

    Warmup: 24kg swings x 20
    Deadlift: 245x5, 335x3, 425x1, 475x1, (515x1)x4, 515xF

I was shooting for 10 singles at 515. The 5th rep wasn't going up at all, so I ended the session. I'm on the verge of getting a cold, and the general lack of sleep is catching up. While not the best, at least my deadlift is solidly in the 500s.

Sleep as much as you can.

I stayed home today to oversee some work being done (replacement of pool liner). I was able to mix in some training while doing lawn work and waiting for the pool guys.

    Press: 95x5, 145x3, 165x5x5
    Curl: 45x5, 65x5, 85x5, 95x5, 105x5, 115x5

Our little guys turned 8 months old yesterday. We celebrated by taking them out to a local kid-friendly diner-type place. They did awesome. One of them celebrated by sleeping completely through the night, and the other with only one wake-up.

    Solid.

I got a little bit of weight training done while trying to set up the pool.

    Press: 95x5, 135x3, 155x1, 175x1, 180x5
    Curl: 45x5, 65x5, 85x3, 100x5x5
    Dips: 6

I missed a couple of days this week due to being sick. Hopefully today's deadlifts make up for it.

Though not yet 100% recovered after being sick this week, today was deadlift day. Weights had to be lifted, and they were.

    Warmup: 24kg KB swings x 20
    Deadlift: 245x5, 335x3, 425x1, 475x1, 490x5, 395x7,7,7; PR - 5RM
    Pullups, EMOM: 4,4,4,3,2

Time: 60 minutes (PLENTY of rest between sets...)
    BW: 253.5lb

The deadlift is an awesome lift.
