The best way to start the week is with a PR.

An excellent day of lifting.
Squat: 135x5, 225x3, 315x1, 365x1, 410x1, 435x1, 455x1, 410x1,1; PR - 1RM (belt only)
Press: 95x5, 145x3, 165x1, 185x1, 195x1, 205x1, 195x1,1
Deadlift: 245x5, 335x3, 425x1, 475x1, 500x5
Time: 69 minutes
BW: 247.0lb
The deadlifts were okay. They weren't my best work ever, but I got them done. I kept my lifting shoes on while deadlifting, to keep the lifting momentum up. I typically use Vivobarefoot shoes to deadlift, and recently have been using just my socks. I wasn't able to get all five reps continuously (touch & go), and had to reset before rep 4 and also before the 5th rep. It was certainly still acceptable within the Teachings of Rippetoe, but not continuous. I'm going to go back to no shoes or the flat-bottomed ones. After all, I gotta get a new DL PR next week.
I shifted the Texas Method / Olympic Lifting program (from PPST3) a couple of days to make sure I have Squat & Deadlift PRs on Mondays. There is nothing that kicks a week off better than a solid PR on Monday.
Stay strong, my friends!
