    Snatch day.

    Drop Snatches: 5 from shoulders, 5 from "hang" (dropping into full depth from bar on shoulders, or in hang position)
    Snatch: 95x3, 145x2,2, 155x3, 165x3, 165x1, 145x2,3,2,2
    Power Clean: 235xF,F,F (pulled these just for fun, in between snatch sets - I pulled it to my shoulders, just didn't get under it fast enough)
    32kg KB swings: 20, 20, 20 (alternated with dips)
    Dips: 8,6,6

    Time: 61 minutes
    BW: 243.5lb
    Program: TMOL 2.4

    I lifted with the other guy who does OLY lifting at the gym, which meant a faster pace. For the work done, the time should have been less today - I guess I was bull-shitting a little too much. KB swings made another appearance today, for a little more fun.

    There are a whole bunch of reasons why today's training wasn't that great. I've typed them out a few times, but when reading them over, it just sounds like a bunch of whiny bullshit. I still moved some weights around (same tonnage as 385x5x5, incidentally), and that means today is a great day to be alive.

    It probably doesn't hurt that I usually update my log while eating lunch. It is amazing how many problems go away while you shovel chicken & rice into your face.

    Go out & move some weights around.

    Seems like a decent session to me. Nice work on the 410x5! I haven't attempted squatting 405x5 but I'd like to try in the next month or so.

    Today was a pretty decent day of training. I trained while raking leaves & mowing the lawn.

    Curl: (142x1)x5, 122x3x3, 102x5,5
    Front Squat: 135x5, 225x3, 270x3x3
    Clean & Jerk: 135x3, (185x1)x5, (195x1)x15

    Time: All afternoon
    BW: NM
    Program: TMOL 2.4

    I learned that doing yard work and training at the same time isn't the greatest for training OR yard work. It results in losing the mental focus on lifting - perhaps next time I'll use a timer to maintain consistency between sets. It was pretty windy, which meant quite a few areas got raked a couple times over. I also learned that the workboots I wear while mowing the lawn aren't as conducive to OLY lifting as lifting shoes.

    My in-laws bought us one of those trailers that attach to the adult's bike. We took the little guys for a ride this afternoon, and that was a real blast. The little helmets might just be the best part (though they might disagree).

    Keep lifting heavy things, folks.

    Making maximums.

    Squat: 135x5, 245x3, 335x1, 385x1, 425x1, 445x1, 470x1, 405x7; PRs - 1RM & 7RM
    KB Press: 16kg (in each hand): 5; 24kg (in each hand): 5,10,10

    Time: 54 minutes
    BW: 241.5lb
    Program: TMOL 2.4

    In order to save some time today, I asked another guy if I could work in while he squatted. Our power rack really isn't deep enough to handle two barbells with more than 135 on the inside. Walking back too far meant the plates on my bar would hit his. I hit them during warmups, and was okay during the 425 & 445 reps. When I walked the 470 out, I hit his weights twice (once on each side). That spooked me & made the bar come forward a bit. I was able to fight it and complete the lift. It was slow & grindy, but I got it done.

    The 470x1 is nice, but I'm prouder of the 405x7. When I was done, I let out a loud Ric Flair-esque "WOOOOO!!!!". Unfortunately, I skipped deadlifts, but I HAD to set a new PR for reps.

    Nice squat PRs! You always manage to make a little progress and it really adds up.
