Everything went well. Bar speed was fast on squats and bench. RDL is the same weight as last time, but felt better. Chins are always hard this day, and continue to be hard, but these were all clean.
Press went pretty well. 215 is my old 1rm PR. The first one was SLOW. The second one went up nice and quick. Probably could have gotten a double. Bench was a little harder. Its amazing how much press interferes with bench.
A little dissapointed in my squat and DL today. For my squat, I didn't even try for a double. The first one felt very very hard. For my DL, I broke the 3rd off the floor but felt my back rounding, so I stopped. Probably should have done some back off sets or something.
Well, I'll be. A new bench PR - finally!! My goal for the longest time has been a 315 bench, and I'm real close. 275 went up like it was 225. 310, though, went up like it was...well...310. It was a tough rep. But, I feel good about my chances at 315 next week! I believe this would be a new 5x5 pr on the press, too. Going to start microloading these, probably 187.5 next time. Finished with a couple of pull ups.
I think I might change squats on these medium days to 3x5 from 2x4. We'll see. Other than that, everything else went pretty well. Lower back is barking a touch, but nothing too terrible. Also very tired (didn't sleep well Sunday night at all).
New press PR!! The bad news is I weighed in at 222.5 this morning. After hitting my PR of 220, I went for bodyweight and missed. Oh well - next week! Bench felt a little better today. 275 still felt heavy, but wasn't concerned about missing any reps.
