It's been a little while since I've posted so I'll sum it up. Last week was the busiest week I can remember. Definitely since Jordan had been doing my programming. I worked 4 out of 5 days at the end of the week. 12 hour shifts, helped my wife set up the new gym, and trained 2 days. At least 1 training day was after work. I missed one session so Jordan wants me to repeat the week. Cool with me.

The positives. I hit an easy 330x1 squat. 5 lbs off my all time PR at 10-15 lbs lighter BW. I also hit a PR deadlift of 370. It should have been easier per what was programmed but I was itching to PR. I'll post video later.

    Thanks, Kundahli.

It's still been pretty hectic but I got the training done although the first day unfortunately felt some of the aftermath of the stress. Nothing to really report from that day. I tied a PR squat at 335 but it was way harder than it should have been. I also dumped the 3rd rep of 315 over my head. I ran out of juice on the bench and couldn't even hit 225 for my @8. Two excuses/reasons for this shitshow. 1. It was on all unfamiliar equipment at the new gym. Everything felt weird. It was all brand new and nice but it felt odd on my back and in my hands. 2. Since I've been super stressed, I had not been keeping up with my nutrition or water intake. I noticed the belt was looser on my usual hole. I weighed myself when I got home and had lost 5 lbs in less than a week. F@*k.

All of the above made my workout on 8/8 feel awesome.
    8/8/14

    Deadlift 380x1@9, 360x3@9, 340x3@8.5, 330x3@9
    2Board Bench 225x6@9, 215x6@8.5, 210x6@9
    Pause Squat 250x5@9.5, 235x6@10

380 is a 15 lb PR and 360 is 5 less than my previous 1RM but for 3 solid reps. I took a 10lb jump and it was harder than it should have been but on the video I think if my setup was better it would have been easier. I definitely got the stimulus prescribed out of the 250 and 235 pause squats. I felt like I was going to vomit during and after both sets. That's the intention, right?

    8/10/14

    LBBS sans Belt 270x4@9, 245x4@9
    CG Bench 215x4@8-8.5, 225x2@10 whoops, 205x4@8.5, 195x4@8, 195x4@9
Flat Back DL in Oly Shoes 285x4@9, 260x4@9

Videos to follow. My son has commandeered my phone so I need to use our camera which requires extra steps to load them to Youtube. In general, a royal pain in the ass.

Since I'm posting these to my own log and not to Rip's or the SS Coaches forum, I'm going to stop editing the videos. It's one extra step and youtube seems to take forever these days to process the videos. So everyone might see some extra standing around. I try to keep it to a minimum but since we're adults and know how to skip forward in a video, I'm not too worried about it.

This mainly applies to Kundahli who is one of the few who actually read my log. Thank you, Kundahli.

Mediocre day today. Can't tell if it's the whole block finally catching up to me or just yesterday's workout bleeding into today.

    Squat: 320x1@8.5, 310x2@9, 300x2@9, 290x2@9
    Bench: 230x1@8.5, 225x2@9, 215x2@9, 210x2@9
    Pause Bench: 185x5@8.5, 192x4.5@10, 180x5@10

One problem that happened today was that I didn't have the belt that I've been using for the past however months. My wife was training at the gym and I was home with my son so she took it. It is hers, so I couldn't argue. I ordered a new one yesterday so I should have one in a couple of weeks. This left me with the choice of a 3 inch belt that I could make tight or a 4 inch belt that isn't tight anymore. I chose, poorly. 320 was done with the 3 inch and I felt f'ing naked. The rest of the workout was done with the 4 inch belt. I'm happy to have hit some heavier bench numbers this week. Last week was an anomaly in some solid training lately.

Last few of the Transmorgrification Block

    8/14/14
    Deadlift: 365x1@9, 355x2@9, 335x2@9
    Touch and Go Bench: 230x3@8.5, 240x2@10PR, 225x3@9
    Tempo Squat: 255x3@9, 245x3@9

    GPP Chins+Face Pulls
    Ab Wheel
    Rower

    8/16/14
    LBBS No Belt: 265x5@9, 250x5@9
    Press: 145x5@9, 135x5@9
Flat Back DL with Oly Shoes: 295x5@9, 275x5@9

This was all done in less than an hour. It was a choice between training after work or training on Sunday. The first option sucks because I worked 25 out of the previous 36 hours. The second sucks because I start a new block this week and if I train Sunday, I either train with little rest on Monday or I wait until tuesday. This pushes my next two workouts into days that I have to work. I'm excited about the numbers that I hit during this block so I'm psyched to hit PRs on the upcoming block. I want to make sure that I optimize my potential with this block.

    8/22

    Press 165x1, 170x1
    Squat 255x2x2@8

Press is a BW PR. I think I pressed 176 when I weighed 10lbs more so I'm happy.
