Started SS in September of 2013 and ran that through to June of 2014. Really pleased with the gains I made.
Switched to TM at that point and ran it for the past couple of months. The last month-ish my training has been inconsistent due to work, weather (I train outside) and other circumstances. Couple that with some lapse in form and I've decided to restart TM for squats and dead lifts. Figured it would be a good time start keeping my log on the board.
Weights will be in pounds. Rep scheme will be weight x reps x sets.
Today, Volume Day:
Squat 280 x 5 x 5
Press 140 x 5 x 5
Power Snatch 140 x 5 x 2
Concentrated on staying tight in the squat. High humidity and temp had me gassed during snatches.

First time squatting with a belt. Felt an immediate difference. Now just have to dial in how tight to wear it and get used to it.

First time deadlifting with a belt. Felt like my back could get tighter and flatter. Concentrate on not dropping hips during set up.

Hot and humid as shit again. Can't wait for the temps or humidity to decrease.
I have had a cold for the past two days. Felt better this morning but still not 100%. Squats felt great and seemed to chase away a lot of the sick feeling. Fucked up and increased my Press too much from the last V-day but whatever, felt fine. Cold caught up to me and I was gassed by the time the snatches came along so put together 5 and called it a day. Was going to skip chins but decided to do one set and see how they felt - felt great so I ground out 5 sets.

Left hip has been sore during squats for this session and at least the last volume day. First rep of each set sucks but then seems to settle in fine for the remainder of the set. Going to continue to and be more diligent about stretching and foam rolling on off days. Pain is usually on the outside of the hip, right at the ball of the joint. Sometimes at the front, tonight it crept around a little into my rear end too.

First time using lifting shoes, specifically Nike Romaleo 2's. Warmed up with the inserts but they felt tight. Took them out during work sets. Still a touch tight but I usually wear my shoes pretty loose. Hopefully the shoes will break in and loosen a touch. Felt solid though, like stuck to the ground. Impressed me.
Temperature a little kinder today. Workout felt great all around.
