Experiencing some fairly significant left elbow pain. Noticed it on first work set. Got worse on 2nd. Has been kinda sore, but now when I reach full extension on the OHP, it hurts. Will see how it plays out. On third set, first two reps were pain free, 3rd rep, elbow flared out and pain came on. Need to remember to keep elbows forward?!?
Last three reps of third set of curls extremely cheaty.
Aggghhh. On third rep of first set, left abs cramped up, racked it. No safeties, so taking it easy on bench today. At a Golds in Aiken, no round plates, so skipping DL.
SQ rep PR! SQs were tough, but not too bad. Having an extra day of recovery really helped, compared to last week.
OHP rep PR! Have some residual soreness in left elbow, but did not tweak it again with this WO. Made sure to keep elbows pointed forward as much as possible, seemed to help a lot.
Fucking mosquitoes are still swarming. Have to run ThermaCELL through entire WO.
Wore belt on 7th hole for SQs and 8th hole for OHP.
SQ rep PR! FUCK YEAH! 4-wheelin' like a boss. On first set of SQs, 2nd rep got a little forward, almost stalled out on it, but ground it out. 2nd set was gooood.
OHP rep PR! Couldn't get third rep on 2nd set. Made myself DL as penance.
SQ rep PR! Thought I saw Jesus on 4th rep of 4th set. Came to a complete stop at sticking point, then fought it and ground out rep. Need to do a small reset. Back up to like 355-360 and work up from there.
Hmmm, now I'm wondering if DL on Friday is fucking with recovery. First time I DLed in five weeks. Mebbe jus' repeat dat ol' 370, ehhh?
B rep PR! B form pretty terrible. Back is fatigued, can't maintain abdominal tightness or keep shoulder blades tucked together. Failed 5th rep of 5th set. Got it about 4-5 inches above chest and stalled out. Meh. Repeat weight next volume day.
SQ weight PR! Previous best was 408 at meet. On 2nd rep of SQs, realized I was trying to carry the bar with my left arm while I was walking it back to the rack. Elbow was directly under bar. Remember elbows up!
SQ PR! All three reps felt good. Last one was a grinder. Think I need to go back to threes for a while.
OHP PR! Told myself if I get both sets of OHP I didn't have to DL. Hope it works.
Pretty tired. Been averaging 5-6 hrs sleep this week. Plus been dealing with a niggling cold for the past four weeks, thinking next week may be a deload week.
