Right groin area was sore as soon as I started warmups. Not aware of any injury in that area. Will go by feel today. Narrowed stance slightly, seemed to lessen discomfort in that area. After third set, sat down in chair to give Lil Guy his bottle and my right hamstring underneath the knee sleeve cramped up. By the time I got the cramp worked out and put some Icy Hot on the area 18 minutes had passed. Also, my right groin (where it was sore during warmups) cramped a little. Repeat 350x5x4 for next week.
Wore belt on 7th hole for SQs and 8th hole for OHP.
Wish I could say that OHP was EZ Peazy, but it was not. Fought for every rep. Hell, maybe I'm dehydrated. My left arm started cramping up during third set underneath elbow sleeve...??? Almost got 5th rep on 5th set. ???
Not sure what is going on here. Been trying a higher carb diet the past three weeks. Have gained 3-4lbs but have not seen an increase in energy or output during sessions. If anything I just feel heavier. If things don't turn around in a week or two, think I will diet down to 250ish and just say fuck it to keeping my lifts up. Once I get to the lower body weight will rebuild. Hate the idea of lifting less weight though.
Yep. Gonna go with dehydration. Weight is about 2-3lbs under where I thought it would be. Was definitely dehydrated yesterday ( traveling in the car) and it was pretty warm today, so may not have gotten enough fluids at work.
On SQs, 2nd rep of 2nd set, got bar forward, had to fight to save it, tops of both calves cramped, racked it. 385x5 next week. Right groinal area felt fine. Neck has been stiff all week, especially after chinz on Wednesday.
Decided to go with SQ deload week. Right groin area still sore, left knee acting up, neck still sore, and it's been 9 weeks since my last SQ deload week.
Benching always makes me happy, especially when I hit all my reps!
Hmmm. First time DLing in about a month. Tried with no belt and no shoes. Didn't like it. Next time try with belt, no shoes. Failed first rep because tried to use DOH, had to reset and go with hook. Had a few more reps in me, but stopped because a) deload week and b) didn't care for beltless. Didn't seem to help with setup at all. When I do wear a belt I wear it pretty high, so that it covers the bottom two or three ribs.
Right groin still sore. Felt good yesterday, noticed it felt kind of sore during work, then flared up pretty good while lifting. Doesn't seem to impede strength, but I hate that sore feeling. It makes me worry and wonder when something is going to pop or separate.

Stupid double post.
Since I have this space, I may as well add that after further reflection, I didn't care for going shoeless on DLs either. Next round will go with NB Minimus'. Check the feels, if that doesn't work out, will just go back to DLing in SQ shoes.
Fuck. Got to 275 and on the way down felt some radiating pain in my right groin. Shook it off and tried 315. Pain intensified significantly. No tearing or pops, just increasing pain. Immediately after 315 probably around a 4 on the pain scale, has now settled down to a 2. Will see if I can press.
K, while I can press, I'm getting a lot of pain at lockout because of the hips trying to stabilize the weight. Will see if I can curl. Have made an appointment with Ortho for Wednesday morning.
Guess I'm gonna bro it out for a while. Curlz, chinz, and benches!
Looking back at the ol' log here, it seems on 2/5 I called a DL set at rep 3 because of a sharp pain on the right under the ballsack. I bet when I DLed on Friday I aggravated that injury and now I got pains. Starr rehab? I dunno. Will research.
Looking at an anatomy drawing, my best guess is that it is either the adductor longus, the pectineus or the iliopsoas???
