Today (9/6) was my first ever volume day:

    Squat: 275x5x5
    Bench: 180x5x5
    Deadlift: 370x5x1

I ended my LP last week at the following weights/reps:

    Squat: 340x3
    Press: 158.5x3
    Bench: 217.5x3
    Deadlift: 365x5

Here's a link to my SS log: OckhamsRazor's SS Log

My aim is to shoot for 315x5 on squats and 207.5x5 on bench for intensity day on Thursday. All my lifts felt good today; the deload was a relief psychologically though deads were, of course, still a bitch. I'm slightly concerned that I may have been a little too conservative with the weight, as my sets felt relatively easy, but I'll just have to see how my body responds on intensity day over the next few weeks. Overall, it was a good session.

    Today's Workout (Recovery):

    Front Squat: 225x5x2
    Press: 115x5x3
    Chins (BW + 17.5): 7x3
    Hyperextension: 15, 12, 12

Other than my squats being too heavy for recovery day, things went pretty well today. However, I confess that while volume day wasn't too difficult to complete, I've been completely exhausted since then. Hopefully, I'll adjust to the increased volume over time. Looking forward to my first intensity day on Thursday.

No need for concern. It will feel heavy fast.

Be prepared to EAT! 5x5 will do wonders for your appetite.

No kidding! I've definitely been feeling the effects since Sunday.

    Today's workout (9/10 - Intensity)

    Squat: 315x5
    Bench: 207.5x5
    PC: 135x3x5
    LTE: 90x10x2

Despite deloading, my squats still felt hard today, but bench felt good. Power cleans continue to improve incrementally; I may try adding some weight next time around. All in all, a pretty good conclusion to my first week on TM.

    Sunday's Workout (9/13 - Volume)

    Squat: 280x5x5
    Press: 130x5x5
    Deadlift: 375x5x1

I was away for the weekend to attend my brother's wedding, but I paid for a day pass to a local gym and managed to get my workout in on Sunday morning. It went off without a hitch in spite of having been fairly sleep deprived, exhausted, and undernourished.

    Today's Workout (9/15 - Recovery)

    Front Squat: 205x5x2
    Bench: 170x5x3
    Pull-up (BW): 10, 9, 7
    Back Extension (BW): 12x3

Today was recovery day, so no issues; went smoothly.

    Today's Workout (9/17 - Intensity)

    Squat: 320x5x1
    Press: 147.5x5x1
    PC: 140x3x5
    LTE: 92x10, 9
    EZ Curl: 85x9, 8

Not the greatest workout today. Over the past week I haven't slept enough or eaten enough and I've driven to NYC from MI and back. As a result, I'm feeling pretty beat; I was just barely able to get my set of squats out, which was 10 pounds lighter than my 5 rep PR before starting TM. Hopefully, I'll feel better next week. On the other hand, presses and cleans went pretty well; though I still pretty much suck at cleans, my form is significantly better than it's been in quite some time.

I've started to incorporate some conditioning work on off days. Here is today's brief workout:

Sprints (very slightly uphill): 6 rounds; 20 secs on/100 secs off

    Today's Workout (9/20 - Volume):

    Squat: 280x5x5
    Bench: 182.5x5x5
    PC: 145x3x5

I kept my volume squat weight the same as last week since I feel my last intensity day suffered from incomplete recovery. To the same end, I've also decided to switch deadlifts to ID; I'll see how this goes. As in the past two VDs, I got through my sets today without too much trouble. Power cleans continue to improve. On this week's recovery day, I'm going to ditch the front squats and switch to light low bars. Hopefully this will all result in a smoother ID.

    Today's Workout (9/22 - Recovery)

    Squat: 215x5x2
    Press: 115x5x3
    Chins: BW+25x5x3, BWx10

The only thing to report today is that I tried something new with chins, which have been stagnant for a while: 3 weighted sets of 5 followed by 1 unweighted set to failure. I'll see how this goes over the next few weeks.
