Wow, cool that you have hired a coach. I really like it, no more second guessing, as you said. But I would say that surrounding yourself with like minded people can be really cool and a great motivator. Consider it.

You are so right Janet! In another twist to my saga my husband and I decided that it would be best after all to switch gyms. So I did my first real workout there today. It was mostly Oly lifters there, but the 2 power lifters that were there are 2 more than I've ever lifted with before, so that was cool. I did my day 4 workout last Friday as practice for this week. I won't record it here since it was accessories and I was just messing around.
    Today:
    Squats: 125lbs bar weight + 100lbs chain weight at the top: 2x2, 135lbs bar + 100lbs chains: 6x2

Bench: 75lbs bar weight + 50lbs chain weight at the top: 9x3
    https://instagram.com/p/8JiN75mg5I/
    Superset:
    DB Bench w/5ct eccentric: 30sx12x3
3ct hip abductor hold with band around knees: 3x5
:20 second high intensity plank: 3 rounds
-lots of volume, I overshot the chain weight according to Gaglione. It's going to take a while to get used to all this new stuff!

You're in Dayton, right? If you don't mind me asking, which PL gym did you guys switch to?

Hi jwagner! Yes, I'm in Dayton. I got an open gym membership at the Dirty Gym close to downtown. Are you looking at gyms here?

I am in Dayton; currently training at House of Health in Beavercreek. I'm not really looking, but I didn't realize the Dirty Gym was that cheap. I like where I'm at now in that it's 24 hour access and has everything needed to get strong. I just wish it was a little closer to home instead of a 20-30 minute drive.

Let us know in the log how you like the change. Environment is a big factor I think and it looks like your new gym has it in spades.

ETA: it looks like it's only 10 minutes from home and work for me. It could be a serious contender if I ever decided to switch or add a second gym.

Hey jwagner, so far it's been really great, but I go during my lunch hour(s) when there really isn't anyone else there except trainers. If you usually go in the evening it's nuts and probably too crowded for open gym with everyone already working in teams. I really like the owners and already know a lot of the powerlifters from doing the local USPA meets. This place has a reputation for being super hard core and kind of nutty, but I probably fit in with that description so it doesn't bother me. There's also Pacifico Power Systems just north of downtown. I considered going there for a while but Jimmie P accused me of trying to hit on him when I asked about pricing for open gym and custom programming, so I decided not to mess with that kind of crazy.
On a separate note, I'm not going to include warmup sets anymore cuz it's too much to remember and record with the more complicated programming. Also, I'll include IG videos since I'm already posting them there anyway. If it's a PR and over 15 seconds I'll post the full length video.

    Superset:
    Chin-ups: 4,3,3,3,3
Neutral grip DB press: 25sx8, 30sx8
    Hanging leg raises: 2x8

Good info. It's definitely on the short list if I ever make a switch, especially if I ever start competing.

Hey Guys and Gals! I have decided to stop logging my workouts here. It takes up too much time to put videos and stuff on 3 different platforms, so I am going to stick with my IG and FB pages. If you would like to follow me there I will be posting all my major workout lifts and meet coverage.
