Nice work, is there a competition coming? When and where?

Thank you, Mahendra! It felt really good.

Thank you. He's just bummed out over having to wear the big plastic collar, but will be just fine in a week or two.

Thank you. Yes, it's DM at Munktellarenan in Eskilstuna. I lift next Friday at 17:30 and Anna lifts next Saturday at 10. So it's unfortunately an hour and a half from Stockholm.

    Default Volume Day #7

Yesterday was intended to be the last VD before next week's comp, which was to be reduced in about half. But I only had time to do the squats, so bench will come up tonight. I went for 4 triples, to get 12 reps, instead of the normal 5 sets of 5 for 25 reps.

Squats: 170 kg*3*4 (@9 on the last set. They all felt heavy but they moved pretty well. It feels like I've found good depth and manage to stay in my hips properly for a good rebound and strong ascent. The last ID is up on Saturday night, and I hope to get 195 kg so that I only have to make a 5 kg jump for a PR attempt at 200 during the comp - if everything feels good - which feels a lot better from a mental standpoint.)

Default Volume Day #7 No. 2

Yesterday I got my light squats and volume bench in, and my bench just keeps on giving.

HBBS: 80 kg*10*2 (Just to get some blood flowing.)

Bench press: 95 kg*3*4 (@8 on the last set. Four really snappy triples, all reps paused, at 95 kg, whereas I just 2-3 weeks ago hardly hit 97,5 kg for 2 triples at ID. It felt really good!)

CGBP: 75 kg*8*2 (I finished this quick workout off with some CGBPs, which felt good, too.)

Next up is this cycle's last ID on Saturday before next week's comp!

    Default Intensity Day #7

    starting strength coach development program
Squats: 195 kg*1 (5 kg PR!) 180 kg*3 (new 3RM and also a sweet, sweet 4-wheel rep fest!) (Squats felt really good and I definitely think I had 200 in me, but decided to hold off until next week's comp.)

Bench press: 112,5 kg*0 (fail, but it was a close one), 100 kg*2 (Since I PRd 5 kg last week I'm not especially bummed out over the miss.)

Deadlift: 195 kg*1 (5 kg PR!) (It didn't feel as good as the squats, but it still felt solid. It was a long time since I pulled a weight that was so close to what I managed but still moved smoothly. It's such a great feeling!)
