    Howdy, all!

I'm trying to get really strong. All help is good help and all criticism is funny.

More Life Sparknotes: Did LP. Attended SS Seminar in St. Louis. Got Coaching at Fivex3 Training. LP crapped out 2 weeks before my first PL competition.

    Age: 22
    Height: 6'2"
    Weight: 248 lbs
What makes me a special snowflake: pectus excavatum (minor but still)

    End of LP:
    Squat: 345x5x3/350x5x2/355x4
    Press: 170x5x3
    Deadlift: 355x5 but bad form
    Bench: 220x5x3
    Power Clean: 195x3x5/200x3x3

    Cool Taming the Texas Method

    1/16/18
Pump up the volume. Pump up the Volume. Pump up the VOLUME. Gains. Gains.

    Squat: 300x5x5
    Bench: 202.5x5x5
    Deadlift: 250x2x8+1
    Weight: 248
    Link: YouTube

First day of Texas Method! Wasn't bad at all, though I'm sure it will change. I need to focus and get tight more for light squats, but my guy accidentally took 2 pics instead of filming. Deadlift is just a matter of getting uncomfortable with hips lower than I want.

TFW you didn't sleep and underestimated the toll volume day would take

    Squat:270x3x5
    Press:170x4,135x5x2
    Power Clean: 195x2x2
    Weight: 246
    Link:YouTube

I was blasted, but I lived. Need to work on clean rack. For squats, must stop shrugging and keep back tight.

    Trying to feel the intensity

    Squat:335x5
    Bench:225x4,220x4
    Deadlift:315x5,1
    Weight: 250
    Link: YouTube

Sick AF, due to mistakes that only youth will live to suffer from. Knees must come forward faster on squat. Deadlift slippers in the mail and must set back hard and raise chest, especially as set goes on.

    Volume intensifies

    Squat: 305x5x5
    Bench: 205x5x5
    Deadlift: 275x3x8
    Weight: 246
    Link: YouTube

Squat form improved throughout the day; must focus on chest up and tight lower abs. Resisting the urge to roll the bar up is paramount. Bench is getting better, largely due to better leg drive. Deadlift improving as well, but must keep chest up as set goes on.

    Light day the right way

    Squat: 275x5x3
    Press: 137.5x5x3
    Power Clean: 175x2x5
    Weight: 247

Squats were good, but need to be slightly more back on the mid food; tightness at the bottom is integral. Presses are good, though they will take a more prominent role after comp. Realized my issue with cleans was arm pull and beginning with hip extension, so I made some excellent progress.

    Intense pre-meet

    Squat: 340x5, 355x1
    Bench: 225x2x2, 235x1
    Deadlift: 325x5, 345x1
    Weight: 245
    Link: YouTube

Squats were light. Bench was messed up because singled is very slippery on the bench; adjustments were made. Deadlift in slippers doesn't require as musch leaning back.

Pre-meet should have been done 2 weeks out, not 1...

    Squat: 315x5x4
    Bench: 205x5x5
    Deadlift: 275x2x5
    Weight: 247

    Link: YouTube

    Felt horrible.

Light on the feet before the meet

    Squat: 275x5x3
    Bench: 185x3x2
    Powerclean: 135x3x2
    Weight: 248

Was feeling odd and didn't want to blast myself before the meet. A guy still thought I shouldn't squat so close to it. IDK.

    Cool Meet #1

    2/3/18
    Meet day!

    Squat: 357.5, 379.5, 396
-could have done substantially more; felt great
    Bench: 236, 247.5, 258.5 (failed)
-final bench wasn't heavy, I just loosened up and touched it way too low
    Deadlift: 357.5, 379.5, 401.5
-super light, clown bar is absurd, had quite a bit of weight left
