    Squat: 325x2x2
    Press: 155x2x4
    Rows: 225x6x4
    Abwheel: BWx5x1

Squats felt pointless, but nice stretch/warmup. Press felt great. Rows felt strong. Figured I may as well use the abwheel since I bought it a while back. Damn it's cold.

    Squat: 370x2x3
    Bench: 245x2x4
    Deadlift: 480x0

Started off ok. About half way through I lost all motivation to train. I really did not want to finish bench much less deadlift after, but I pushed through. Bench actually felt good, but then deadlift completely fell apart during warmups. For some reason I kept overthinking my setup plus made too large of a jump on some of my warmups. Anyway, my last warmup (a single) at 455 was probably a 9.5 RPE. I tried for 480, but got it up to mid shin before quitting. If my head had been it, I may have been able to grind out a single. Lots of excuses; none of them lifted the weight though.

ETA: Deadlift warmups were 135x5x2, 225x3, 315x1, 405x1, 455x1. 455 was probably too close to 480 and the 315 to 405 was probably too large.

    Press: 175x1

Starting RTS Project Momentum on Monday. Monday is a test day/mock meet, so I wanted to test Press today. Unfortunately I forgot to hit record on my phone, so no video. 175 went smoothly so I just tried 185 because plate math. It wasn't in the cards. This ties my previous PR though it felt much stronger this time.

    Test day / mock meet

    Squat
    405x1 @8.5
    420x1 @9
    435x1 @10
Maybe had 440. Probably didn't. Made the right choice here.

    Bench
    250x1 @8
    260x1 @9
    270x1 @9.5
Probably had 275. Kind of disappointed I didn't go for it.

    Deadlift
    455x1 @8.5
    475x1 @10
Maybe had 480, but probably not after 475. Passed on third attempt. Disappointed in deadlift progress, especially apparent detraining from the peaking process. Not terrible given the training year prior to November or so.

    And thus begins Project Momentum.

More testing: AMRAP at 80% of Monday

    Squat w/ belt
    350x9 @10 - Video
Took a while to catch my breath after this one.

    Competition Bench
    215x7 @9.5 - Video
Came down uneven on the descent of the first rep and hit the safety pin. Adjusted down to 9.5 from 10 based on video. I've definitely had slower bench reps, but not 100% sure I had another. I certainly didn't think so at the time.

Tomorrow is AMRAP deadlift and then some more bench work. Also, I really need some better lighting in the garage.

Even more testing: AMRAP at 80% dreads.

    Deadlift
    380x7 @9.5 - Video
Almost puked after the sixth rep, did after the seventh. Probably had at least one more, maybe two on a better day.

    Bench Press with Feet Up
    125x10 @6.5
    135x10 @7.5
    140x10 @8
    140x10 @8.5
    140x10 @8.5
    140x10 @9
    Dat Titty Pump.

Last day of testing. Next week is more 10-12 rep. Definitely going to experience some DOMS.

So, that terrible deadlift session makes more sense in light of the following 24 hours. Ended up in the ER Saturday night with 103.7F fever, chills and dehydration* due to the flu. Heart rate was 137 when they put me on the monitor.

Today's training is a no go, and maybe the rest of the week's. Unless my symptoms clear up by tomorrow, I will likely have to bow out of Project Momentum.

*In spite of having drank almost three liters of water.

Technically this should have been Monday's workout, but Mike usually puts the workout in priority order, so I'm doing Monday's workout today and Tuesday's workout tomorrow.

    Squat w/ belt
    225x10 @6
    245x10 @7
    265x9 @10
    245x10 @8 // Extra rest
    245x4 @10
    225x6 @10
Blew my load way too early with these. My work capacity's not that great to begin with and just coming back from the flu is not doing me any favors either. The last two sets weren't true RPE 10s, but I couldn't push myself through the burn. Hamstrings are still on fire an hour later.

    Bench
    135x10 @6
    145x10 @7
    155x10 @8
    155x10 @9
    145x10 @8
    145x10 @9.5
    More burn.

    Press
    65x11 @6.5
    70x11 @7
    80x11 @8.5
    80x11 @8.5
    80x11 @9.5
I think the point of these were to make everyone on Project Momentum feel small and weak. The 65 @6.5 surprised me, I was planning on just making 20 lb jumps from the bar until I hit RPE 6. Expected it to be around 85-105, not overshoot on the first jump.

Overall this was fine. I didn't have any expectations going in since I really don't have any experience in these rep ranges and knowing I was going to be weak coming off flu recovery. Tomorrow should be interesting with 6x10 deadlifts and more lockout work. Probably won't be the same level of tricep pump as tonight though: my t-shirt.got caught on my right tricep when I was changing into a dry one after this session.

Late start, but not as cold as usual.

    Deadlift w/ belt
    300x10 @6
    310x10 @7.5
    315x10 @8
    315x10 @9.5
    295x10 @8
    295x7 @10
Just completely ran out of steam on that last set. Did 5 then reset then did 2 more. Just didn't have it in me.

    Middle Pin Bench Press
    205x5 @6.5
    225x5 @8
    235x5 @9
This is a pin press with the pins set in the middle of the ROM. Awkward movement for me; I kept getting surprised by the pins. Never got to the point of gently touching the bar to them.

    Ab Wheel
    BWx2
    BWx3
    BWx4
    BWx2
Protocol was "x10 @7, x10 @8, x10 @9 plus 1 down set (load drop)." Mike said to modulate the reps, stopping the set when the prescribed RPE was hit. I probably sandbagged these some because I don't hate myself enough.

    Squat w/ belt
    395x1 @8.5
    320x8 @9
    305x8 @8
    305x8 @8.5
Strength still isn't 100% back from the flu last week. This wasn't as cardio-like as I thought it would be, but I was still breathing pretty heavily after each set.

    Comp. Bench
    250x1 @9.5
    200x7 @9
    190x7 @8
    190x7 @8.5
Like I said, my strength isn't 100% back and I way overshot the 1@8. The rest of the sets were fine.

    Push Press
    95x9 @6
    115x9 @7
    125x9 @8
    125x9 @9
    115x9 @8
    115x9 @9
I suck at push presses. That is all.
