    Actually, it was pretty hot the whole time. Fortunately, east Tennessee has a few hills and hollers where it's a little cooler. It helps to be wading in a creek that's pretty close to 55 degrees.

    Well, the DOMS turned out not to be too bad. Definitely some in the adductors and a little in the quads, but not to the point I was groaning every time I stood up.

    So I did 4/5/5 last time and 5/4/4 this time. Can I combine them and claim a full 3x5?

    I've been doing a mini-LP to get my squats back up after my vacation. I'll go back to regular programming next week.

    Yeah, the good morning isn't that apparent in the video, but trust me, I was feeling it in my lower back Saturday morning. And Saturday afternoon. And Sunday morning.

    I rested 8 minutes between these sets. Working out in a home gym has its benefits -- nobody asking me if I was done with the squat rack.

    I did three days of pretty heavy sets of 5 last week, including my heaviest on Friday, so I decided to start off my 5's/3's/1's cycle with 1's.

    I lost balance a bit on the last one, so it's kind of ugly.
