I had an epiphany while changing plates during the workout. I realized why people put the 45's on facing inwards instead of outwards. When you take off a plate that's facing inwards, your fingers are situated perfectly to wrap around the lip of the plate. Nothing earth-shaking, but it was pretty cool having the light bulb go off like that.
