    Default 2017/09/11 -- squat 1's

    Link to current programming.

    Squats:
    Warmup:
    45x15
    45x5
    135x5
    225x3
    275x1
    315x1

    Work:
    325x1
    325x1
    325x1+f

Oh, well, I didn't get my +2 on that last set. Given the speed of the first one, you'd think I would have gotten 3. I'm not really sure what went wrong.

    Deadlifts:
    Warmup:
    135x5
    225x3
    295x1
    335x1

    Work:
    365xf

I'm traveling the rest of the week, so I thought I'd get my deadlifts in today. Nope. I was tempted to do a set at 345 after this, but I decided to just skip it and do my typical post-squats work. (The fitness center at the hotel I'm staying in has "free weights", and the picture shows what look like Olympic plates, but we'll see what it's actually like. I'd be shocked if I could deadlift there.)

    Chins:
    (3x3)x3

1 minute rest inside parentheses, 2 minutes rest outside parentheses. I'll try (4x3)x3 next week.

    BB rows:
    165x8x3

A 30-pound jump from last week. These are starting to get heavy, so a smaller jump next week.

    BB Curls:
    65x10x3

Same as last week. I'll bump it up next week. And anyway, they're just curls.

    Skipped conditioning.

Hotel gym workout. Their "free weights" section consisted of a rack of dumbbells, a Smith machine, and other assorted muscle isolation machines. Oh, well, at least I could do chins and dips.

    Chins:
    8x3, 1x2+f

I was going for 9x3 as (3x3)x3, 1 minute rest inside the parentheses, 2 minutes rest outside. I just couldn't get my chin above the bar on the last set. I did hang there for a few seconds, at least.

    Dips:
    4x5, 1x9

    DB rows:
    50x20x3

Yeah, I'm pretty happy if I can at least do chins and dips. If they have a dumbbell set, I can do DB bench press or press. (There were dumbbells this time, but I figured the dips were sufficient.)

Yes, soon I will have arms like Andy Baker. Would you believe Chris Evans? How about David Schwimmer?
