    Don't know what's going on with my deadlifts. I'm taking a couple of weeks off soon, so if I'm just a little bit burnt out, that will help.

    I've been working on the descent speed of the first rep of sets. I don't have a problem with the following reps, but the first rep is typically much slower, especially at heavier weights. When I did my failed attempt at 265, my descent took about 6 seconds. On the first rep of each of these sets, the descent took about 2 seconds (vs. about 1.5 for the second rep). I'm making progress.

    I was hiking a lot, and I tried to do so body-weight squats when I remembered...
