Aaaaaaand back down to 191.4 - crazy....I definitely ate yesterday. Not worried about it...it's just strange what's happening with my bw and hard to get a read on so I know exactly how much food to be shoveling down my throat. As long as it's climbing up over time and my lifts go up it's all good.

194.0
Going to pre-give my excuses why this session was weak. Slept only 5 hours, woke up early to play golf for the first time in 2 years, which with rain delays turned out to be 5 hours+ in the brutal heat and humidity. Didn't eat much all day and lifted about 4pm with my buddy who had just gotten into town.
Squat
+5 245x3x5
Got them, but barely. These were all out. 15th rep was just about a failure, pretty surprised I was able to grind through. If I get 2 good nights of sleep and food 250 should go better.
Bench
+2.5 177.5x4, xf, 177.5x2x3
Failed 5th rep maybe 6 inches off chest. Was absolutely spent and decided to just do 2 hard triples and retry this weight on Monday.
Chins
2x8
Nothing left for a 3rd set, plus I was running around to the garage to bang these out while I had steak and salmon on the grill.

Yesterday was 192.4 and today was 195.2
Sleep was good, spent all day at the water park, a good portion of it in the HOT sun. Was pretty tired by the time we lifted at 6pm.
Squat
+5 250x3x5
Ties a 5rm. Maybe slightly better than 245 but still really hard and 15th an all out grinder.
Press
+2.5 110x3x5
Real solid, especially 2nd and 3rd sets. Probably better than 105 and 107.5.
Deadlift
+5 315x5
5rm! Hard and heavy but I don't think I lost much bar speed.

Son didn't sleep well with guests in the house, so ~6 hours sleep. 195.4 lb.
Airdyne

Strongest session to date without a doubt. Either my conditioning has reached the next level, or getting...wait for it...........stronger, has helped. Maybe I'll try to decrease the rest periods to 2m and see what happens.

Sleep pretty good last 2 nights after guests left town
193.0 yesterday, 194.2 today
Squat
+5 255x5, 255x4, xF, 275x1 275x1 squat - YouTube
Ok, where to begin. 5th rep was very grindy. 10th rep only made it a few inches out of the hole before I ran out of gas. Was then debating between stopping squats, 235x5, or 255x3. Reracked the bar after my fail with 255, rested, and then got up and said fuck it, let's go for a heavy single. I've never squatted a single, 255x3 was my previous heaviest squat. Check the video, I was shocked at how quickly 275 moved. Not challenging at all.
I was cruising on this lift through 240, I think squatting 245 and 250 under terrible conditions (both times outside in 100+ degree heat all day walking) and grinding so hard killed my momentum and left me under recovered for today. Therefore, I think my plan is to squat light on Weds and try to squash 255 for 3x5 on Fri and hopefully get the momentum going to run up my 3x5 some more with a Weds light day each week. Sucked failing, but I did get a 5rm and 1rm out of it.
Bench
177.5x3x5
Retry from last Wedsnesday's Clusterfuck. 5th rep grindy, 15th rep very grindy, 2nd set moved the best. May need to add in a backoff set here very soon.
Chins
+.75 3x5 +15.75 lbs
PR.

Lowered rest periods by 20s, and while it was noticeably tougher (obviously), I survived. My conditioning has definitely gone up a level the last week or 2 (could also be due to strength gains). I can say without question, that right now, 1 month shy of my 28th birthday, I am in the best shape of my life by far. This is after having played competitive sports from 5-19 including D1 college tennis, and playing pickup ball at the highest level and working out like a bro for a couple years after that. I really need to find time for a pickup game of ball or to go run a 5k just to see if I can match my times from my running days.

Yeah...I had cut BF for bball league, and combining that with crappy sleep (job and child) left my lifts pretty low. Wife's school year ended a few weeks ago meaning sleep is better, so I reset my weights to run a brief LP while also eating for gains. Gonna see how far I can take it and then switch over to an HLM setup.
195.8 - gains!
Squat (L)
205x2x5
Press
+2.5 112.5x3x5
As often seems to be the case with this lift, first set was the hardest. 5th rep was a hard grinder, I briefly thought I was going to fail it but willpower took over. 2nd and 3rd sets were hard but never in doubt. Probably need to add in a backoff set for bench and press real soon if not immediately.
Chins
+.75 3x5 w/ +16.5 lbs
Just barely grinded out the 15th rep. Going to make 1 of my 2 weekly chin days bw instead of weighted real soon in order to get additional volume. I weighed in at over 199 right before lifting so I'm happy I got all these (weight up top is always AM bw).
Looking forward to heavy squats, bench, and deads on Friday! (255, 180, 320)
