    196.4

    Squat
    +5 245x3x5
    Really freaking hard.

    Bench
    +2.5 182.5x3x3, 162.5x8
Decided to stay ahead of the stall that could have happened as early as today, and move to 3x3. These weren't easy, but my hardest rep was the 8th of the backoff, which almost failed.

    Chins
    3x5 w/ +17.5 lbs
Got it on my second try. I feel like this would be a good lift to move to 1x5 with 2x5 backoff, since opposite my presses, each subsequent set gets much harder.

194.4 (massive dump before weighing which I normally don't do)

    Airdyne
    7 x 20:120

    196.4 more like it

    Lifted in the AM

    Squat (L)
    +5 195x2x5

    Press
    116.5x3x5, 105x6
First 4 reps solid, every 5th was a serious grind with a little layback. Backoff 7th failed at forehead. Not sure yet whether to try to grind another 3x5 or just move to triples to keep the train moving for a while. Triples would probably be smarter I think..

    Chins
    9, 2x7
Disappointed considering I was doing 10 reps before my weighted chin LP. I guess you lose endurance on these if you're not doing higher rep bw. Should get better by doing these once weekly along with weighted.

Back in the day when I 20 pull-ups was max on the fitness test, I would train them with frequency, bare bones method would be say 1 set daily at 75% your max reps. Re-test every 2-3 weeks.

Yeah, one day I plan on making a stronger chin-up a high priority, but right now my weekly training time is pretty capped out and I'm really trying to get all the big lifts up significantly, so for now 2x/wk chinning is it.

196.2 - up 7 lbs or so and haven't quite lost a belt hole yet.

    Squat
    +5 250x3x5
Solid. 15th a little grindy but these weren't quite as bad as 245.

    Bench
    +2.5 185x3x3, 165x8
Solid, bar moved well. Nice to get the 25's back on there, which makes the actual weight today 188, almost 96% of bw. I know it's nothing impressive at all, but a bw bench will be a nice little landmark for me.

    Deadlift
    +5 325x3, 295x3
    Mixed grip, hard but solid.

Definitely not trying to lower these rest periods again until at least after the weather cools down.

Right now I have a window where my sleep is halfway decent so I'm trying to take advantage and get significantly stronger. As long as that keeps happening, I'm willing to continue to gain bodyweight. At 6' even and a lifetime of PR of 210 (fat, not strong), I wouldn't mind getting up to the 220 range, like I said, as long as I'm continuing to get stronger along the way. 220 with a 440 pull would be sweet (and would mean I would need to buy another pair of 45's!

    196.4

Only slept 3 hours Friday night, but sat night was decent and last night was great.

    Squat
    +5 255x5, 240x2x5
Theres that damn 255 again. All out grind, almost failed 5th. Backoffs were tough and required some grinding, too.

    Press
    +1 117.5x3x3, 105x7
Triples were very solid, see how high I can run them up. Gained a rep on backoff set.

    Chins
    +.75 1x5 w/ +18.25 lb, 2x5 w/ +16.25 lb, bwx8
Going out of town Thurs-Mon so I'm going to miss Friday's session. Therefore, I'm going to pull on Weds. and decided to get some extra chin volume in since I won't be doing them til next Monday.

Forgive me if you already answered this, but how long are you resting between SQ worksets? If you train in your garage, which is likely hot this time of year, you could always duck into the house between sets to cool off.
