    207.4 !!!!! - woke up sat at 206.2 which was a pr on this bulk, then down to 204.8 sun morning, then up to this!! Football Sunday gainzz

    Grind, but I got her. Didn't think I'd get it after 4th was a little grindy, but I gave her a legit effort and she was actually never in doubt. Redemption from only getting 4 last week. New 5rm! All I want is to get a little stronger while I get fatter, so this was nice. Hope to crank out a few more 5rms in the coming weeks.

    Also redemption after failing rep 5, set 1 last week. It was a grind getting through these. Some 5th reps moved better than others, but every set was at rpe 9.5 or 10.

    Coupled with my weight gain, these were pretty tough. Not as much of a relief switching from 5's to 3's as I'm used to.

    205.8 - left work early for extra sleep and got almost 6 hours

    +5 260x3, xF. 225x5, 205x5
    Goal was a 5 spot and then backoffs after hitting this weight for 2 (grueling) triples on Thurs. Was mentally prepped to smoke a nice 5 day. iThink I'm literally just worn down on squats from grinding too much for too long. Taking a major reset and gonna experiment with lower stress, with heavy day being 1x5 and 2x5 backoffs (stealing Tom's idea) and medium day as 2 triples. Will do 230x2x3 on Thurs and then work from there. Hopefully the squat gets refreshed and I'm able to make more progress with lower stress.

    I don't want to sound rude here, but have you ever gotten your hormones tested? During my adolescence and early 20's I was unable to really gain any strength and muscle mass. Went on to find out I had a pretty significant hormone issue. I had the issue fixed and now I'm doing much better. Again, not trying to be rude, but you seem like you are really giving it your all and not seeing much progress.

    Have not yet, with the rationilization that even if my T came back low, I would probably blame it on my lack of sleep and not take any meds for it.

    1-2 min rest between. 125 warmup was a little grindy so I got aggressive af and reps 1-4 flew. Rep 5 was a little slower but not bad.

    No grinders. Unintentional long rest periods (10m before set 2 and 5m before set 3).

    Kinda nice having a medium day squat feel medium for a change.

    Deadlift
    +5, +5 365x1, 295x5. Deadlift 365 - YouTube
    325x1 warmup felt heavy so I wasn't very confident I'd hit it. 365 felt very close to a fail, so i was surprised how quickly the video showed the rep actually moved. On to 370 next week.

    4th was all out 6 second fight, may have stopped at some point. Obviously no attempt at 5th. Frustrated that I cant get weekly gains on this, as 187.5 took me 2 tries for 5. Thinking maybe my 3x8 is still a little light to drive this. I'll prob repeat next week and see if 2 tries becomes a trend, and if it gets better as my volume day weight goes up.

    Bar was actually moving real well here, felt lighter than normal. Busted out first 4 sets with 4m rest. Completely misgrooved 4th rep of 2nd set and still made the set no problem. 4th set was rpe 10 so I rested 5m for 5th set and it was also rpe 10. I'll rest longer if I have to to make 115.

    Top set felt a little heavier than I thought it should but no grind. Backoffs didn't lose any bar speed. Whether I progress better or worse than my usual stick points by using the backoff method this early will interesting and likely let me know whether my squat has been getting not enough or too much stress. Hopefully not having to grind any reps for at least a month will freshen me up.

    Dogged it on the first 3, barely cracking 90 rpm. Last 4 were strong, and I got really lightheaded after the 7th for a while.
