7 x 20:120 Don't look forward to riding this thing at all - complete opposite of lifting. Just trying to maintain a baseline for when/if I play basketball next season, then I can quickly ramp conditioning up 2-3 weeks out and be good to go.

+1 132.5x2x2, x1, x2 Supposed to be 3 doubles but I misgrooved the 3rd set real bad. 1st rep I kind of forgot to lock out all the way and had to put extra effort after it stopped. Second rep I let get out in front of me and couldn't save it. 4th set was grindy. 1st 2 sets were a little grindy but not too too bad.

+2.5 170x3x8 1st set moved well. Second 2 sets were all out grinds.

Didn't mention during my last update on Thursday that I had a terribly sore throat becaus I was hoping it was just allergies. Spread to to my head and everything and was really sick Fri and Sat, so no medium squat or deadlifts. Much better by today, but still not 100%.

+2.5 195x4 4th was grindy enough to not attempt a 5th. Will retry next week to get 5 at this weight.
Press (V)
+1 117.5x3x5, x2x4 1st 3 sets were RPE 10's. Couldnt move 5th reps of last 2 sets past nose. Was resting 6-7m between sets. Gonna retry this weight also and chalk this up to not being 100%, especially given how easy 116.5 was last week.
Squat (H)
+5 245x5, 225x2x5 Not easy, probably an 8.5. Not that it'll effect ,y programming, but I'll prob list RPE's from now on just for ease and quick reference of approx difficult.
Deadlift
345x1, 380xF, xF, 310x5 Listed my last successful (warmup) rep. Both attempts at 380 did not see bar budge from the floor. However, surprisingly, 310 was smoked and gave me no problems whatsoever, and it's 10 lbs away from my 5rm! Here are my excuses:
-10 days since last pull instead of normal 7
-was sick all weekend and maybe still just a tiny bit sick
-I'm on 4.5 hour sleep whereas typically I pull on a Friday after I can get 8 hours sleep
I pulled today since I'll be out of town all weekend starting Thurs night and will miss Friday's session again. I'll prob give 380 one more crack next Friday (10 days rest again, but more sleep and not being sick hopefully) before giving up on this singles run.

7 x 20:120 Another <5 hr night of sleep but interestingly enough, I felt very strong today on the bike. And for the first time since I can remember, I didn't get nauseous to the point of contemplating suicide after my 7th sprint.
Another night of short sleep coming tonight, but then I'm off and away for the weekend, so after I get through tomorrow's session, I'll have a solid 3 days/4 nights of recovery, hopefully.

+1.5 134x3x2 9.5's. 125x1 felt real heavy so I was worried going into these. Very happy, big boy plates are next.

+5 250x2x3 Was anticipating 9.5's based on lack of sleep, and from squatting just 48 hours ago. They were actually 7.5's, so I was stoked about these. Form was very dialed in.
Bench (V)
+2.5 172.5x2x8, x7 xF First 2 sets were legit 10's. Son woke up after first set so had a 13m rest, then rested 8m before 3rd set. First time failing a rep that I had halfway or more up, just couldn't quite finish the deal. Should crush this weight next week.

7 Really just nothing left in the tank for these, and ran out of time anyway, so I just did one quick set to failure. Was hoping for 10, but I was smoked.

195x4, xF First 2 flew...3rd a little tough, 4th somewhat grindy, couldn't even get 5th off my chest. Gonna go up in weight and see if I can run 2x3 for a little bit.

117.5x5x5 Redemption from last week. First 3 sets were not much struggle (8.5-9's). Son woke up and had to wait 30m tbetween sets. Still managed last 2 sets but they were harder, at least 9.5's.

+5 250x5, 230x2x5 Holy crap this was easy...barely lost any bar speed at all. Had at least 8 in me, maybe 10. Very promising session, 10 lbs shy of 5rm.

+1 135x3x2 Big big plates!! That means this was actually a 2 lb jump to 137.2. 1st 2 sets I lost the first rep out in front of me, and the 2nd reps were grinders (9.5 and 10 respectively). Cleaned it up for third set and it felt like a 9 or 9.5. Starting next week any weight that goes overhead will be a PR.

175x3x8 Make up from missing the 24th rep last week. 1st was no grind (8.5ish?). 2nd set was 9.5 and 3rd set was 10. Had almost 10m rest periods between sets too. This definitely feels like the right time to switch to 5x5. Hoping I can run that up past my 5rm!

8x5 I hate chins, they're always a major grind after the 1st set. Long rest periods, especially toward the end, and I still probably didn't get my chin all the way above the bar on the last rep of sets 7 and 8.
