Tsaftaridis Nick's Training Log
19yo med student from Greece
96.6kg (213 lb) @ 1.77m (5'10")
Started with the LP in March 2017 (7 months ago now) and finished about 4 months in, under SSOC.
No athletic background or prior serious training.
Best lifts (Gym) in kg (in lb)
squat 160x3 (352x3 )
Press 70x1 (154x1)
Bench Press 90x3 (198x3)
Deadlift 145x5 (320x5)
After finishing the LP I have been doing the "old-man Texas method", i.e. TM with reduced volume on Mondays and main lift variations for more volume (paused squat/bench/dl and chin-ups) on Wednesdays. No true Texas method as I have other things to take care of and do not have any athletic predispositions (and am in no hurry). I am not under SSOC now because I don't have the money - student and all.
In the deadlift I have also done 135x5x2 (297x5x2) with a 2 sec pause just below the knee. In essence I haven't started peaking the deadlift as I have done with the squat, although I should have. It should surpass the squat within the next months.
I am not the first to say that, but SS has worked wonders for me, physically as expected, but most importantly psychologically. And it makes sense! (Workout will be posted tomorrow - not a testimonial :) )

Training - Monday 6 Nov 2017 (in kg)
SQ 130x5x4 w/ <4 min breaks (Reset from 145x5x4 on last Monday) - ONLY FIRST THREE REPS VISIBLE due to the crowded gym.
MP 65x2 (failed the third rep)
DL 135x5x2 w/ 2sec pause just below knee
BP 80x5x4 (Reset from 85x5x3)
video in the next post
Will order fractional plates tomorrow because the MP and the BP have been stuck around 65 and 85 (for reps, respectively) for a few weeks now. If the fractionals don't work I will increase the volume, doing something like the bridge.
I have also noticed that I have run the old-man Texas method (or at least my version of it) for too long (>2 months) without a reset. Need to look into that.

Tsaftaridis Nick's Training Log
Training Mon. 13.11.2017 (all in kg)
SQ 132.5x5x4 w/ 7-8 min breaks
BP 82.5x5x4 w/ 4min breaks
DL 137.5x5x2 w/ 2sec pause just below knee
MP 65x5
^ Shitty sleep in the last three days (average of five hours), inadequate protein intake, walking and traveling. Here goes nothing...
Press was strong, bench press too. The squat was pretty hard and the dl was ok. All of this took me about 2 hours plus, though... I think it is because I wasn’t fully recovered.
Premium on sleep and eating right from now on (which I guess should have already been there at this point :P).

Welcome and nice work in here! Are you still in Greece or are you in the states? How are you liking the modified TM? I'd imagine its still pretty difficult paired with what you are doing in school.
