I got a single steroid shot in my knee for diagnostic purposes. If things improve dramatically by mid-week then I may be trying a Synvisc injection next. Surgery would probably not resolve the issue. No MRI yet, but it's coming soon.

I had my MRI tonight. I won't know more until I talk to the orthopedist again in a couple of weeks. The steroid shot did absolutely nothing, so I apparently have soft tissue damage. On a more positive note, I squatted with a pair of Evolutionize knee sleeves tonight and they really helped. I bought XL because I was looking for stabilization, not an artificial bump to my squat numbers. Shoulda bought a pair weeks ago.

The fourth rep on deadlift was a bit sloppy and tough, but everything else went up smoothly.

Squat and bench went very well tonight. The 2nd deadlift got past the knees, but stopped there. I suspected that a double at 485 was an overshoot; my 1rm is only 500. Next cycle (barring interruption by surgery) I'll drop the double to 480 and see if it goes.
