    I caught a nasty cold camping over the weekend and missed the earlier workouts this week.

    squat @ 395: 3/1/1 (rep p.r. on first set)
    bench: 3x1x295
    deadlift: 1x3x450

    Time to shift to singles on squat and bench. Getting the p.r. on the first squat set was nice.

    press: 3x1x194
    chins: 5x5 @ 45 lbs.

    My press 1rm is 219, so I'll be pushing the press up 2 lbs. a week. I fear anything more would be too fast, but 1 lb./wk. would take forever. Press doesn't seem to receive as much the focus in HLM as it does in 5/3/1 anyway.

    I missed another Sunday workout, down with yet another cold. Between my own work and my two kids in two different elementary schools I sometimes wonder if I'll ever be fully healthy again.
