Big weekend of alpine riding. Felt ok in the gym today but not much energy.

Riding has been focused on longer, sustained climbs last couple of weeks so got a bit of a ass kicking this week when I attempted some anaerobic/intensity trails that I’ve done clean before. Always something.

Another big weekend in the mountains. Great rest day yesterday and solid sleep both nights this weekend.

Had an epic multi day ride but ended up completely nuking a rear tire and carrying my whole rig for several miles at 12,000+ feet to catch a hitchike out a day early. Lost about 5 pounds.

Was out and about looking for elk in the high country all weekend. I put in some hard miles all above 12,000 feet and had a bit of a “creaky knee” syndrome today. Considering I’ve been in the high country for 11 weekends straight, I was surprised how difficult it was getting around off piste with a pack on.
