Default Martha's Journey to 1,000lb Stengthlifting Total

    • starting strength seminar jume 2024
    • starting strength seminar august 2024
    • starting strength seminar october 2024
    Stats:
    24 year old female, 5'4", 156lb

Length of barbell training: 2 years

    Strengthlifting total from Oct 30, 2016: 690lb (squat 275, overhead press 115, deadlift 300)
    Strengthlifting total from April 2, 2017: 667.5lb (squat 245, overhead press 107.5, deadlift 315)

Not sure if it's humanly possible for a female to achieve 1,000 strengthlifting total (squat, overhead press, + conventional deadlift) but I'm willing to find out.

Yes, my strength went down from the October meet to the April meet, so I decided to see a Starting Strength Coach (Ryan Arnold) once a week to keep me on track.

He is officially switching me to an HLM intermediate program with my first workout this Sunday. My next meet will be the Fall Classic October 2017.

I'm very anxious to see how much I can add to my total, now with sensible programming and accountability.

Doesn't matter, so don't worry about it. Just get stronger and enjoy the journey. Best of luck.

Impressed. Looking forward to following this. Let's all make "strengthlifting" a household word. It's worth the time invested in the explanation for non-lifters ("weightlifting" versus "powerlifting" versus "stengthlifting").
