    Default GET STRONG: The Intermediate Ramblings of an Amateur Strongman

    Just starting this log as I'm wading into intermediate territory... original LP log is below for any interested.

    This will document everything else going forward as I look to dive deeper into Strongman... I'll update with some more info later...

    Age: 30
    Sex: M
    Height: 6'1"
    Weight: 232 (I ate a lot of pizza this weekend)

    Current PRs:

    Squat - 360x5
    Press - 187.5x5
    Bench - 255x5
    Deadlift - 415x5
    Power Clean - 175x3

    Competition PR's:
    Axle Clean/Press - 165x7
    Truck Deadlift - x6
    Loaded Carry - 150x60ft @ 8.47 seconds
    Stone Over Bar - 180x8

    Press - 180x5x1 - felt kinda heavy but only because I've been pressing so light lately. Bar moved nicely and that's all that matters.

    Bench - 220x5x4 - weight isn't heavy but form wise I think this is some of my best benching in a while. Very pleased with how I controlled these reps across all four sets.

    Rows - 185x5x3 - first time doing rows but I think these went nicely. Weight is probably a perfect starting point for them too. Just enough to slow me down and make me really work for the last touch.

    That sounds creepy.

    Deadlift - 405x5x1 - after basically a week off these felt heavy but moved nicely.

    Squat - 320x5x4 - Ok yeah wow I get it, volume sucks lol

    Loaded Carry - 175x60ftx6 - Also conditioning sucks, my legs don't know what happened to them lol. Last "sprint" was basically a walk lol

    Bench - 245x5x1 - damn nice benching today, almost like I knew what I was doing.

    Press - 160x5x4 - also nice, trying to more out of my hip bump, progress

    starting strength coach development program
    9/18/17
    Squat - 350x5x1 - gnarly compared to how I have been squatting

    Deadlift - 365x5x2 - pulled first set in olys as an experiment. Experiment failed. I hate pulling in olys.

    PC - 165x3x3 - felt better than they looked unfortunately...

    Crappy day for form all around... my mind was saying things were going great but the tape was looking same as ever...
