My wife greeted me this day with this song.

“Happy Birthday to you. I’m glad God made you. Happy Birthday Carson Daniel. I’m glad I married you.”

I will remember it until the day I die.

    HLM Light Day

    Squat: 70 x 5 (P); 120 x 3; 160 x 1; 166 x 5 x 2
    Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 135 x 1; 165 x 1; 115 x 8
    Prowler: 155 x 4 x 3. Since the empty prowler weighs 70 lbs. I'm not sure why we don't call this 225 but 155 matches a pr)

Our gym is gorgeous and very useful. we can now accommodate 10 lifters each session. Since we are gaining new coaches that should be doable. Since we don't use many of the machines and there are some smaller plate trees we are offering somethings for sale. Contact Sully for information.

Glad I stumbled across your log Carson, it's inspiring stuff. It is easy to be dismissive of time in the pursuit of one day squatting and pulling 4/5/6 plates, (where the reality is the average gym go-er won't ever get there), but if I can still have the desire and physical capability to still be lifting iron in 40 years time and encourage novices in the sport, that's a job well done for me. Keep at it.

    HLM Medium

    Squat: 70 x 5 (P); 140 x 3; 190 x 1; 210 x 1; 189 x 3 x 2
    Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 135 x 1; 165 x 1; 139 x 5 x 2
    Dead: 135 x 3; 225 x 2; 260 x 5

Two fellow lifters sent a text stating how they got a great laugh out of a Natural Balance commercial that touted a 79-year-old "champion" who was lifting 135 on the Dead. They continued "No matter what the weight, you could smoke the guy's ass. He's not even close...That guy never met Dan Lauffer." It made me smile.
