    HLM Light

    Squat: 70 x 5 (P); 130 x 3; 170 x 1; 186 x 5 x 2
    Press: 45 x 5; 65 x 3; 85 x 1; 100 x 1; 107.5 x 1; 75 x 8 x 3 (I'm determined to do better on these. I should be lifting 135+, not just this.)

I fell on Saturday and hurt my knee. I've alternated ice and heat, and it feels a bit better. I did a "diagnostic" lift today.

    Squat: 70 x 5 (P); 120 x 3; 140 x 3
    Press: 45 x 5; 65 x 3; 85 x 2; 100 x 1; 110 x 1 The heaviest since 2020.
Dead: 135 x 3. My knee hurt, so I stopped.
    Prowler: 110 x 6 x 1

Sadly, it doesn't feel much better. Standing and lying down is okay, but sitting or deadlifting, so far, not so much.

sometimes when the knee hurts I find that holding a glass filled with ice against it helps.

and then raising that glass to my lips to drink the bourbon helps even more

I like that. Bourbon is fine but I like Scotch even better.

    starting strength coach development program
A second ad-lib day to see how my knee is doing. It turns out that my problem is a stretched ligament from my fall off the curb. No, I wasn't drunk.

    Squat: 70 x 5 (P); 130 x 3; 180 x 1; 210 x 1; 180 x 3; 160 x 3 Very little pain.
    Press: 45 x 5; 70 x 3; 90 x 1; 105 x 1; 112.5 x 1 (The best lift I've done since 2019); 80 x 5 x 2
    Dead: 135 x 3; 225 x 2; 315 x 1; 340 x 1 No pain at all.

I think I will be going back to my normal routine on Monday. I can't sit for very long because of the pain but it seems that I can do most anything standing or lying on my back.
