    I meant the sputtering over the last several weeks. For some reason, I hadn't been sleeping well for some time. The tweak I got in my back last month did not help. I kept going from a top weight of 340 to 355, then failing and going back again. Maybe I've got my form back. In any event, my back is healed, and I'm sleeping better. 345 went right up.

    My wife and I were with family in Chicago, then got sick. We tested for COVID-19, though I don't believe much in its efficacy, and it was negative. I think I have the return of sinusitis. We did lift on Friday. Thanks for asking. Here are the results.

    Since we missed a few sessions, I did a diagnostic series of lifts.

    Squat: 70 x 5 (P); 160 x 3; 220 x 1; 240 x 1; 210 x 3; 160 x 5
    Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 135 x 1; 165 x 1; 185 (fail); 165 x 1; 135 x 5
    Dead: 135 x 3; 225 x 2; 315 x 1; 275 x 3

    We will miss a session on Monday, Dec.23. But don't plan to miss much after that.
