Since your garage is NOT heated be thankful that it's summer. You are a creative and adventurous man. Keep it up.

Pretty good day with some problems.

    Squat: 70 x 5 (paused); 140 x 3; 180 x 1; 200 x 3; 185 x 5 x 2
    Press: 45 x 5; 65 x 3; 85 x 1; 93 x 5; 83 x 5 x 2
    Dead: 135 x 3; 225 x 2; 315 x 1; 332.5 x 1; 295 x 5 (Had some technique problems which made the lift a bit harder than it should but I got them up)

Good work. Any problem overcome is a particular triumph. What were the problems, if you don't mind my asking?

The bigger problem came with the back-off lifts for the deadlift. 332.5 went up easily using the reverse or alternate grip. I am positive that I will reclaim my pr in a couple of month. When I dropped down from 332.5 to 295 x 5 for some reason my left alternate hand kept forcing the weight away from my legs. The moment arm almost did me in. Between 4 and 5 I took 2 breaths instead of one. As a consequence the bar kept drifting left. I thought I might have misloaded but that wasn't it. Maybe I need 6.5 minutes of rest instead of 6 between the top lift and the back off lifts. Perhaps I was overconfident after lifting 332.5 with relative ease.

It is amazing how much I lost with the lockdown. But I am gaining much of it back.

Have you thought about trying a hook grip? I tried it a couple of times to no great benefit and a lot of pain, but the 3rd time was the charm.

I can do hook group through around 290 and 295. After that I can' hold the bar. Before the lockdown I did get to 315 but I had to start over with a max of about 250. So it's getting better. I've never tried a strap but I may. It's strange that my 332.5 kept on my legs. I somehow got sloppy with the 295.

Light day. I hate light day, but I guess they are necessary.

    Squat: 70 x 5 (paused); 140 x 3; 180 x 1; 187.5 x 5 x 2; 70 x 5 (paused)
    Bench: 45 x 5; 95 x 3; 135 x 1; 142.5 x 5; 130 x 5 x 2
    Dead: 135 x 3; 225 x 3; 275 x 1; 295 x 5

Carson are you doing what is considered heavy/light workouts now instead of heavy/light/medium?

    starting strength coach development program
The gym is closed this Monday. However, I think I will be doing medium on Friday. Actually, I'd love to try H, H, H, H, H, H, H until I at least got back to me PRs from 1 1/2 years ago.
